It is clear you are talking about the Arabs that you know. And I can tell you as an Arab from North Arfika, that has worked with allot of Arabs fro of Middle East and of North Afrika there are big diffferences. What you said about Arabs that are Muslim but not really practising that is very true when you are talking about Libanon, Jordan and Egypt, and some other countries. But is very different fro Marocco, Algeria, Tunesia, Saoudi, Dubai for example. I don't say Muslims from North Afrika are perfect, not at all. But I have NEVER seen or heard a North Arikan Muslim eat pork. And I have many friends from Libanon that eat pork for example, even as full grown ups. I was SHOCKED. I had never seen a Muslim eat pork before I met Libanese Muslims. Alcohol, yes, weed sigarettes, females wich is also very bad. But also very on the downlow and very occasionaly. But Libanese and Jordanian like it was normal. I am not judging, it is between us and Allah swt, but just my experience, and I pray for us all to stay on the right path and sins will be forgiven and to be granted Jennah when we sincerely repent, and stop doing these sins. My pointy is, that I think you don't have much experience with these kind of Mulsims. Perhaps also because you are from germany. Those Mulsims are not the same as "back home"

to be fair modern day spaniards do have some arab blood(not that much but some) and some arab culture. in fact there are plenty of words in spanish that have an arab origin: zafacon ensalada alcohol alcaide and many others, because of historical reasons. spain was colonized by arabs at one point, and then they pushed them out(after a very long time, so there was already "race mixing", and a lot of cultural influence). and we, modern day americans, are a mix of american, spanish and african(because the spaniards brought slaves to extract as much wealth from the continent as possible), so we have a bit of arab blood as well, and arab influence.

Not all Arabs are Asian, some are African. But those Arabs who are Asian are Asian in the same sense that Mexicans, Canadians and Americans are all North Americans. That is, Asian Arabs are Asian because they are from the continent of Asia. This is why way back when Arabs used to be called Oriental in order to distinguish between far eastern Asians like the Japanese and Chinese, versus westernmost Asians like the Persians. Later, for whatever reason, westerners began identifying far eastern Asians as Oriental and westernmost Asians as Middle Easterners, so the term Oriental lost its original meaning and people stopped using it.
