Я эту композицию слушаю ещё с Сингера ( когда он пел больной ) , даже не зная фабулу текста . Прослушал и новую версию уже не менее трёхсот раз и вот моё резюме : моя острая эмоциональная реакция в трёхсотый раз была совершенно такой же , как и в первый раз , слушал и в наушниках и без них - реакция одинаковая . Обычный человек не МОЖЕТ так петь , просто инопланетянин принял облик " простого пацана из Актюбе " ( как себя назвал сам Димаш ) и вот результат : женщины вместе с Аммаром плачут ( некоторые ревут ) , брутальные мужчины , даже не понимая текста , хватаются за сердце , роняют " скупые мужские слёзы " , украдкой их утирая и все дружно пишут о душе и любви ... " Димаш , Димаш , волшебник наш / Степей казахских чародей , любимцем стал ты для людей ! " - таково начало одного из моих стихов .

Good Christ, how many times can this child break my heart? He seems to be compelled to sing songs with background and lyrics that are simply gut wrenching. And he sings them in such a way that he wrenches emotion and tears from all of us. He is brilliant in every way. This is based on a true story which makes it all the more painful. Yet he is able to perform it with such feeling and passion. Lordy, how can he continue to do this to his Dears? He is a gift from God to the world at a time when we surely need this tenderest of mercies.

This is one of his best, the runs a are insane. I don't know how he does all this technically very difficult stuff and puts all these emotions on top of it. With other singers who can hit these high notes and do runs like that, it's often just a demonstration of skills and almost no emotion.

He isn't a piano, though his voice is like an instrument that he plays. Watch his free hand, the way it rises and falls, moves nearer or further from his body, palm turned towards or away from the audience, fingers curled towards thumb or splayed. They are all physical gestures he has learnt to associate with mechanisms in his voice. There are things he does with his body, his head position, his stance on the stage that also help him to create the sounds that he wants. To be clear, he has spent thousands of hours training his voice, and thousands more tuning it to his hand positions, so that by the time he gets on stage, he barely thinks about it. And of course he was gifted with musical ability from birth, and his talent was spotted and nurtured from an early age. He has remarkable imagination, determination, self-discipline, resilience, and maturity, and these things were in place by the time he was an adolescent. He imagined a kind of singing no-one had ever really heard before, and he embraced a part of him which was feminine, then set about making the sound he had imagined with remarkable single-mindedness. He was not daunted by failure, but used his mistakes as opportunities for learning, he tested himself in public performances and competitions, he practiced courage and fearlessness on stage. It took years of hard work to achieve the sound he has now, and all that time, only he knew where he was going. That's probably a good definition of a genius. Oh, and being on stage is the place where he can express and be himself most freely. Talent is something people are born with, and that is nurtured appropriately in their early years. But there comes a point when they have to take responsibility for themdelves. What the do with their talent - that's up to them. It is who they are. Dimash is a very talented, very remarkable man, who has cultivated his talent assiduously, and made made many sacrifices to do so. His talent, his environment, his character, all aligned to make him what he is today. It's very very rare that someone like him emerges. But he is definitely human. When people say he's an angel or an alien, they're expressing their astonishment and pleasure, of course, but they usually have no experience of performing themselves, they don't understand what it is that he does, and nor do they credit how much work he has put in. They must allow him his humanity, and his fallibility, and give him the space to be who he is. The expectations that go with fame can be very corrosive.
