Over the past two years, Arab revolutions have deposed dictators in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, while in Syria they have turned into a lasting civil war pitting Bashar al-Assad against the Free Syrian Army. In Tunis and Cairo, the same observation: power has been confiscated by well-structured Islamists financed by the extremely wealthy Qatar: the Muslim Brotherhood. Everywhere, the hopes of freedom, democracy and social justice claimed by “the Arab Spring” seem to have faded... And instability has set in.
