Assalamualaikum. I greatly enjoyed your use of a story to teach Arabic, but like others, I felt music in the background was distracting. Music isn't even needed at the beginning.

The difference between it in this context is that she is the one who took him there. If it used مع it means they simply went together without reflecting who took who to where.

لاعب is a 4 root verb that is used in this case to show an action performed together with someone. لاعبت means she played with him and he played with her in return. لعبتْ will be something like a one way thing . I hope that clarifies that? Moreso, Arabs dont like to use more words than necessary. لعب or the present tense تلعب would require a prepositionمع )with( which can be avoided to keep it simple.
