The Maronites have endured hardships and persecution for over 1400 years. Their faith, heritage, and resilience, have never wavered. The Levant is the Holy Land and the Christians native to that territory are, for the most part, Christ's living stones. Whether or not some Lebanese Christians, particularly the Maronite Catholics in that country, claim an Arab identity or deny it, there is no use in this. Lebanon as a republic is an independent and sovereign nation. The Near East has gone through centuries of Arabization. Lebanese are Arab by default, not by choice, though they share similar aspirations with their neighbors in occupied Palestine and the Syrian Arab Republic.

I'm a muslim from south of Saudi Arabia. My ancestors were Himyrite Jews. I love being muslim but I also love my christian brothers and sisters. May things in the middle east go back the way they used to be before 1979 and may Arab christian, jews and muslims co-exist like they did for centuries before the Ottoman empire period. And for those who are confused, Akkadians, Babloynians, Nabateans, Sabaeans(Shebans), Hymirates, Assyrians, Phonecian, Sumarians, Cannaites...etc are all what we call today Arabs. They sure spoke different languages and had different religions and but they were basically the same people..Semites or Simetics. Before Islamic rule all of these civilizations were already dead (except for the Hymirates) so the were fastly united under the Umyyad rule and all adopted Fusha Arabic as their language. Ummyad expansion would not have happened if it wasn't for the harsh occupiance of Romans over what is today (Palastine, Syria, Jordon, Lebenon, Westeren Iraq, and North Weastern of Saudi Arabia) and the Persian occiupiance of Eastern Iraq. We will make our middle east peacful again. But we first have to get rid of all of the Islamic terrorists who made blood rivers no more an imaginary thing! Peace...

elijahthesamurai Hi, Many tribes in the mountain range of south west of Saudi Arabia and north of Yemen (Sarawat Mountain Range) were jews. But, Not Israelites because those tribes were native to south Arabia and just converted to Judaism after Queen of Sheba (their Queen) converted. Himyrite Kingdom was the largest and most prosperous Jewish kingdom in Arabia. It ruled north Yemen and south west of Saudi Arabia for centuries and the culture it left behind is still obvious in the high lands of northern Yemen and south western Saudi Arabia. In my hometown "Faifa Mountains" we still speak Himyritic as our first language until this very day but some say the language will soon be forgotten because of people leaving and moving to big cities like Riyadh and Jeddah. I don't know when exactly my ancestors converted to Islam but I would say it was very early. Thank you so much for your reply and sorry for my bad English.

I want to make clear that nine of my comments are negative about this song or woman. I like both. I saw that some people mistakenly thought she was using the Islamic name, because they don't know Semitic roots and phonetic and lettering rules. and others who made the same mistake said ignorantly that the two names are one and the same. but the two letters L in romanization of Allah represents two separate lams in Arabic.

sorry my post posted more than once. anyways, I ought to add to my last comment that the Christian singer we are watching is not once mentioning the name Muhammad invented, with the two separate /l/s in a row, but she is faithfully saying the true term for God, with only the one letter /l/. so she does what is right, while Muslims do not .
@ancient31318 жыл бұрын
+Peter Jackson This is very stupid comment do you know why because there is no such thing as ( /l/s) in the word "Alla". Alla is simply a word that equivent for the word god in english. . If you are arab, not mater what relion you are, you are going to use the same word. Now that does not mean that both Muslims and Chraistins have the same idology. Each one of them has completely different understanding of god. So next time, KEEP YOUR HATE AWAY and enjoy the music.
@Frst2nxt8 жыл бұрын
+Braveheart you are wrong. this Christian woman says Alah, which is good and means God, but Muslims say a completely different word that only sounds a little like the other but the root formation radical us different
@Frst2nxt8 жыл бұрын
+Braveheart )LH in Arabic is not the same as )llh in Arabic. no hate.
@ancient31318 жыл бұрын
You wrong again! This my language so I know what I am talking about. Believe me all of what you have just said is rubbish. The only root of the word الله is اله which means any god in arabic. You can't just made up a lie and expect every one to believe it. If you listen to any Muslim says Allah, you wouldn't be able to tell the different if a christain says the same word. It is simply because it is a language not idology. I hope you get the point this time.
@ancient31318 жыл бұрын
And by the way, I read the bible in arabic and the word Alla is written exactly the same as in the Quran. Again that does not mean they share the same idology, but it is simply because it is a language.
@Frst2nxt8 жыл бұрын
again, in Semitic languages, the root for the word for God begins with the glottal stop letter alef, then has only one /l/, then a final /h/. the /l/ is not geminate in any of these languages. northern Arabic is a dialect of Aramaic influenced by southern Arabic, so calling Allah Aramaic is false, since Arabic inherited not Allah with two separate /l/s, as in the Quran, but Alah, with one /l/. in Arabic, Aramaic and Hebrew, if we use ) to mean alef, then the consonantal structure is like this for God: )LH. with the article, Hebrew has ha)LoaH singular, but prefers the plural, unarticulated )eLoHYM > articulated ha)LoHYM, Aramaic has the article at the end to get )aLaHah or )aLaHa), and Arabic has )al-)aLaH. it is a Semitic feature with this word that the first syllable is )a- , an open syllable, and what westerners stupidly regard as an initial vowel is a throat sound into the first occurring vowel. Semites recognized that no word begins or ends without at least a glottal stop or breath. the second syllable of the common root is -LaH , a closed syllable, due to it being word final. so since Aramaic never had /l/ twice in the root, )al,lah, in which /l/ is fully and separately written twice, IS NOT the word )aLaH found in Aramaic!!!! in Semitic, even the gemination of a single /l/ still renders but one instance of the written character, and only in pointing is it even visible in writing. the word in the Quran has visibly two /l/s in a row. when the word )aLaH does appear, it is to compare something that isn't )al,lah against him. the articulated form requires )al twice before final h. in Aramaic and Hebrew are ancient roots that, like )al,lah , have )-l-l, and refer to emptiness, idols, etc.
