I have been following SoHyang for years and I feel that was one of the greatest performance I have ever witnessed. I am not sure you would have made it if you didn't pause the video at the critical part. There wouldn't have been any shame if that had happened. I think half of the audience had to try their eyes.

WELCOME BACK!! Another FANTASTIC/GREAT/AWESOME reaction. The PHENOMENAL So Hyang indicated "Everyone" was the most difficult song she has sung. She had to figure out where to take a breath. From what I've read, this is the one and only time she has performed this song in public because she didn't think that her health would permit her to sing it again. So Hyang has a compromised immune system, has had eight bouts of severe pneumonia between 2016 - 2020.

From the moment she sings in English she is speaking of GOD. There is a verse in the Bible that says, when you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will be with you. Thy rod and thy staff may comfort you. The Korean translation is a tad different. She is a Christian woman. But for those wondering about the lyrics, that part comes from The Holy Bible.

I could see that this affected you greatly as it does me,I have only seen one other reaction that came close to yours and I have watched EVERY other channel who has covered this.in my opinion (which to be honest carries very little weight) their is no other singer on the planet who could have done what she did with this song,yes there are some who could have done parts of it and done it well but to do everything,vocals,emotion, storytelling,stamina,grace and inner and outer beauty,nah there is no-one even close.After watching this the best remedy for you is something completely different from anything you have seen from her that with lift your spirits and still make you shake your head about her skills as a vocalist,I give you Freedom ,her most upbeat song so far and it will introduce you to Petra and the wonderful chemistry that happens when they perform together,honestly it is a very rare treat to the ears,I hope you consider it.Thank you for your continued support of Sohyang and please don't leave it so long the next time 😊

I loved your reaction! Yes, So Hyang is a musical savant, there is no doubt. This song is a masterclass in everything you talked about -- range, dynamics, emotion, and turning our insides into something close to mush. I have seen her in many interviews and on many talk shows and she is so unassuming, so lighthearted. She doesn't take herself seriously in any way. I once saw an interview where a gent flew from Turkey to Seoul to meet with her and they filmed him knocking on the door of this big building and who answered the door? So Hyang. I laughed. Almost my dear sir... When i saw the thumbnail, my mind said "oh.. another fun meltdown coming through 😂" Sohyang going Patti LaBelle here brings me joy. Her ballpark is CCM and she always delivers, not only in her genre as we all know. You are probably the first reactor who mentioned the contrast of her voice & lyrics. Imho during acapella part she genuinely got emotional. However that gave us an opportunity to witness her going from 0 and choking up to full throttle in seconds. Sohyang is a masterclass in vocal control, even in the unfavorable situation like getting emotional or suffering health issues. In the recent years, her poor health really gets in her way and it shows during her live performance. Yet she beats all that and in some cases pushes her boundaries further than before (and delivers as usual) 😍 Another​great reaction to Sohyang my dear sir and looking forward to more in the future. I love your assessment and reaction of So Hyang. So Hyang's raw and uncensored joy fills every performance of hers. She has persevered through so many obstacles in life and has thanked God for her blessings. As you said very accurately, those who engage with So Hyang and give her the opportunity to sing feel a stirring in their spirit - it so moving. She almost makes you feel like you are being cleansed of burdens. She naturally adds color to every single word she sings, which is mind blowing to say the least. Her performances are tangible and captivate so quick as you said similarly. If you have not reacted to her performance of Misty from Begin Again Korea, I highly recommend that one. This is like a 7 minutes long master class in the art of singing and by thati mean like sing amazing!! This is ,what i call, one of her many "don't try this at home" performances! There's one thing to "sing from your heart" cause you know what words to emphasize to make the listerns moved. However it's a completely different thing when you really sing from your heart cause you mean every word you say. You have also lived it. God, who cured cancer and gave a new life that he had visited in her early 20s, and Sohyang, who decided to sing for him for the rest of her life. So, the emotions contained in this song are the true feelings of Sohyang, so even those who listen to the song can feel the emotions as they are if they are immersed a little bit, so they have no choice but to shed tears. As a side note, this song is also one of Sohyang's most difficult songs to sing due to its 7-minute length and extreme singing technique and difficulty, so it has actually only been sung and performed on stage once so far in the video. The audience in the video are the luckiest people in Korea to hear this song live.

Crying on Sohyang's songs doesn't mean you are soft or weak. It's total natural thing, if you have 'normal' human souls. BTW you should remember she is a gospel singer, all the lyrics in this song is focused on God, He is telling you "I'm your eternal sibling, your friend, and eternal song."

Context wise, the title everyone is named wrong. "Everyone" has nothing to do with the lyrics actually. "(It's) all of you" is more correct. She said once this song was the hardest cover out of the performaces she had done on the TV shows back then, with the memory in mind of struggling to find places to breathe while singing.
