I hate when they compare Juan Gabriel to Elvis Presley. Elvis is way below because he was just an interpreter. Juan Gabriel is on another level. He is more a Freddie Mercury who composed his songs and had an impressive voice and sensibility to move the masses, wrapping them around his finger, and turn each song into a new one of every single presentation. They both had that quality because they could do whatever they wanted with their songs. The level of anticipation, interpretation and . Excellent reaction as always.

I saw Juan Gabriel twice. Once in Laredo and again in San Antonio, Texas. in my 72 years I've seen the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Steppenwolf, CCR, Santana, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, The Eagles etc, plus many Mexican performers including Luis Miguel (a fantastic singer) but no one gave you the thrill, excitement, performance, energy, craziness and absolutely the best show ever. His shows were 3-4 hours long. From start to finish he'd have you dancing, singing, laughing and crying all in the same show.

I had the opportunity to take my mom to his final concert in LA, two days before he passed away in his sleep. I’m truly happy she was able to see him live. Truly one of the most entertaining concerts I have ever been to. He performed nonstop and gave it his all. I am so thankful we were able to experience such an artist that was taken too soon. Thank you for watching these videos and experiencing it. It takes me back to that day and childhood memories.

Juan Gabriel, unique musical legend, genius songwriter, magnificent interpreter, filled stadiums like the Rose Bowl in Pasadena,CA. Madison Square Garden, NY, Toyota Center In TX, Rosemont stadium in Chicago and many more all over USA and Latin America. A beautiful soul and a totally humble human being!!. Imho , as an American, I consider Juan Gabriel to be the greatest entertainer in the past century. I’m 75 yrs old , disabled and home bound. I listen to Juan Gabriel every single day. His existence , his music keeps me in touch with love, joy, and hope. I never get tired of him. Every experience is as exciting as the first. God bless that ANGEL.

I heard somebody say once that even when we mexican cry we sing. there is a video I saw of the 2017 earthquake in Mexico where you see people singing "cielito lindo" while removing debris trying to get survivors out of the fallen buildings. In 2016, I was excited he would perform in the arena where I worked, in fact all staff were happy as he and his crew were noted for their kindness and professionalism. We were all stunned and heartbroken when he passed away.

I highly recommend you react to Arturo Vargas (from the dynasty of The Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan) singing El Pastor (The Shepard) This man's voice is on a different level where he can literally hold notes a looooooooong time and he has the gift of the falsetto. You will be very impressed. Also recommended are other huge talented artist like Vicente Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez, Javier Solis (the voice of velvet), Ayyyy so many!!! It was the humanity in JuanGa. He was a person who suffered dearly and he poured his emotions and experiences in his songwriting. What made him unique was his capacity to express suffering in many levels, he always added some sort of fun, silliness and spontaneity in his live performances, ir was his ways to tell the audience "hey I'm just like you, it's not the end don't worry".
