Thank you for this! this is one of the most valuable videos out there to get people to get the most out of their builds! So much potential is left on the table without working towards those 80s/90s! Is there a good place to find all the possible/available stat items and where they come from? specifically the head/armor/arms/feet for different classes and their options? It seems a lot of is locked away behind older campaign stores or simply master dungeons/trials?

Hmm - I think I can answer my own question. Or at least its one of the answers. Found that Rainer's Character Builder has a "Gear Wiki" which allows to search for specific gear based on desired slot/stats!

Oh noes, it only allows for "ratings" stats to be filtered on, not the percentage stats added by bonuses! :(

There are also 2 master boons you can look towards getting for more stats: blessed advantage giving 6% power, it procs from just any heal, even any little self heal like those you get from other master boons, it's super easy to proc, the healer will make it proc a lot too in party of course. There's also Deathly rage that gives 6% power, crit sev and CA on kill, which is quite neat and quite huge but can't rely on that against a single boss unfortunately. I still think it's worth putting some boons in those rather than spend like 10-15 boons just to get a 2-3% stats elsewhere...

yes good point on Blessed advantage, that can be fairly reliable, especially in trials with 2 healers. The on kill one seems a little pointless, unless you are in a fight just killing wave after wave of enemies. As soon as there is a little bit of time between enemy groups, the effect just drops off before you are dealing any damage

I have played NW back in 2021, I didn't care almost about anything, just to kill Tiamat, I did it and stopped playing', but I came back 2 weeks ago and I want to get serious, and I started searching for calcs and guides how to get the highest total item level and most damage and everything else, I've read a lot of guides already, but none of them made me understand how ratings works, this video did the job perfectly, I wish I had seen this before spent 4hours with confusion.

Sadly, this module gives awful gears to the Dreadnough Fighters. Only the weapons, the crit ring and crit severity ring is good. All the other items is from preview modules. I'd rather keep my 5 offensive ratings at 90% using old gear than gain base damage with these new items and at the same time lose %s ratings in the process.

yes, that is usually how it is, very few new gear is actually good. It is the same with all classes. Only a few pieces are good every module, the rest just filler

My whole issue with this game and the theory of 'capping n equalizing stats' is that I have a job. This game is Horrid for changing gear and farming and grinding. It's fine if you have $ & Zen. Changing you gems, boons, etc to perfect your stats is unruly logic considering the upgrading process. .....

Funny you just made this video, i was wondering the other day about the boosts stats and how they work, do they have dm's ? up until what percentage is it worth investing, beeing probably the only source for those kind of numbers i wanted to ask you about that, if you can, pretty please, for instance magical damage boost comes from what stats, inteligence alone or what else, thank you in advance Aragon.

Even if ratings are red, would you still get maximum effect for that stat? Just a note aside Aragon, there is a Character Built program created by Rainer, another NW KZbinr, which will help you see what stuff you need to maximize your stats.

you won't get currency to progress the campaign, only quests will give that. You get currency from advanced and master versions for items in the store

How does this ridiculous system actually work? When I increase item level, my % go DOWN. Someone told me they aren't really going down, it's just showing the % of the cap you have. But is that even true? Don't they show _efficiency_ and _efficacy_ ? If I have 78% power and then it becomes 76.8%, that IS less power. So isn't that less damage? Same with Crit, Combat Advantage and so on. If the % go DOWN, then I do less damage? {:o:O:}

for every 1,000 Item level you go up, you lose 1% of all stats. However, combined rating will add to all your stats, plus the separate ratings on that item. So you don't lose anything, and you just reduce all your stats, but increase specific stats, but in total you do not lose anything or gain anything, except item level

@@kittywampusdrums 🤣 I used Rainer's character creator about 2 years ago. I gave myself the best of everything and my percentages did not move at all. So I've not bothered upgrading anything since. There seems to be no point. The only thing that changes is item level and base damage. But if Power decreases by a larger % than the increase in base damage, you must do less damage. {:o:O:}

there are lots of gear pieces you can use, depending on the content. You can use magnitude damage companion bonuses as well as the damage buff ones. You can even switch lightning flash out back to poisoned thorn or cursed burn. Or the new Wild one

How does combat enchant give 15% stats when it says 2.5 x 3?

2.5 x 3 = 7.5% that is for both critical strike and accuracy 7.5% + 7.5% = 15%

It takes 5% of each of your stats away. So 7.5 is more like 2.5. Combat enchantment has no combined ratings. Make sure you have good companions, enchantments, gear, and mounts before equipping combat enchantment.

Edit: I have a 70k barbarian. I use menzo mc neck/belt set and stromforged weapons with lighting enchantment And an augment companion (i prefer it, my skill has to do dmg, not broken companion xd) 90%power (87 + raptor in team) 90% combat advantage 88% crit strike 87% crit sev (90 with storm elixir) Accuracy reaches 65% (with ratings not capped at 47/48%) But can be increased to 75% with overload (5% accuracy/crit strike) and with menzoberranzan ring (5% accuracy) My question is: as barbarian dps, do i get more dmg with the accuracy ring or with a % dmg ring?

Dmg, because shrwood neck and waist, one of the best options to get accuracy and stack with another ways dont work well with our 3 encounters. To be honest, the new neck and waist sets hadnt be planed to well for us.​@@AshenKnight640

Combined rating on most gear is 80% of item level, and each 1000 stats you are missing from max item level is 1%. At 50k item level, you will have ~40k combined rating, so a deficit of 10,000 or 10% At 100k item level you will have ~80k combined rating, for a deficient of 20k or 20% In other words, higher item level actuality makes it harder to cap your ratings. They did this on purpose to allow for 'power creep'. However, as you've noticed, it's actuality easier to cap stats now 🤔. It's not due to simply having higher item level though, it's because they creeped too hard too quickly. Just thought I would point that out 😊
