Araquanid can be insane. i've been running it with medicham and shadow machamp and won against so many charmers. spamming bubble beam had shadow machamp with no shields winning against wigglytuff.

I recently tried a team that shouldn't work but went on a 25 win streak with Dewgong (double legacy), Hypno (fire and thunder punch) and Alakazam (counter)! It was in lower ranks but it still amazed me!

MEweedle's litle brother here. I also competed in the senior championship and i have the same rank 4 araquanid. It helped me alot, just because its so bulky and hard to counter.

Idk I find it underwhelming, everytime I use it, it costs me games. Almost never can get it lined on swampert or walrein. It definitely can be strong, but I don’t think it’s a Pokémon for me.

I'm not that good but managed to get ace, failing for a while trying new teams, then bring my rank back up from 1700 to around 2000 using shadow Nidoqueen (earth power), primeape and shadow Zapdos(Thundershock). Good job with spidey tho. It's definitely a cool and tanky pick

I’ve been pairing Shadow Nidoqueen lead with Araquanid, but I’m still testing different things to find a third I enjoy using. I do enjoy the current duo though, and I’m running infestation over bug bite and I dig it.

@@johnmichaelarnaud I always WANT to use a counter-user, like Medicham, but then I have issues when I see Altaria which is surprisingly a lot. I could run Ice Punch over PuP but I do very much enjoy PuP.

@@johnmichaelarnaud yeah absolutely! I worry about ghost types though, since Nido, Araq, and Medi all have little play against ghost types, so I swapped to obstagoon. Obstagoon also isn’t weak to flying types so something like Skarmory wouldn’t be as threatening as it would be to Medi.

It charges quicker, but its charge moves are bubble beam and bug buzz... The former does no damage and the latter is not that good because it offers no coverage and bug is not that good offensively... So it's unnecessary to charge quickly when you have those moves. Araquanid wins most of its matchups with just bug bite + bubble beam and having more fast move damage helps with it
