Dont worry , I bent the side rod on my ARN 2.5m awning, easy enough to replace, mind u prefer not too. I use my screen room ( no longer sold by ARB) as the kitchen in my setup, and I plan to run the ARB side wind break to cover my tent in future, yeah the screen room is average for rain, but as a kitchen zone its perfect. Good video mate.

I think I paid less than $15 for the side arm replacement. Pretty fair price IMO. Than’s a great idea to use it for kitchen use. great ventilation on it and gives a nice view in the process while keeping the bugs out of your hair and food. I was checking out that windbreak online and if I thought it would make a good bed down spot.

you are most welcome. I hope it helped. I have had both the ARB and the Ironman awning rooms and had both the ARB 6 and 1/2 foot awning as well as the 8 foot awning. if you have any questions just let me know.

Is the lighting operated via a USB cable? Did you encounter any problems with strong air at speeds of 40 kilometers per hour, for example?

The lighting uses a 12v connection. As for wind, it holds up pretty well. I got hit by a few strong storms with 50km/hr and higher winds when camping on the beach and it held up well. I did rig up extra bracing and extra tie downs though. I used extra poles to brace the back, doubled the tie downs on the front, and added an extra tie down point in the middle of the long poles on the side. I also stayed up for the worst of it to hold the wall out. When the rain was sideways it leaked through the zipper points quite a bit. My video titled “Working from the beach for a week” shows how it was rigged up, but no footage of it actually in the wind because I was busy holding the wall out and didn’t film.

yep they worked like a champ. Super cheap and pack down to take up almost no room. I just upgraded to the 8x8 size awning with the hard case, but this time I went with the Ironman room. I have not taken it out to test it, but I did set them up together in the front yard and they are compatible. Biggest downside is that the Ironman room does not have the clear plastic top area to let the awning light shine through. I want to take it out for a month long trip to test before making any review videos on it though.
