Sudhir Sir, is the period of six months allowed for completing pleading process including claims and defence in Section 23 (4) binding on the arbitrator? If the proceedings are continuing for over an year and the award is passed with in six months from final pleading, can the award be set aside through the court on ground of 23 (4) of A&C Act?

conciliation is method of proposing various resolution or solution in dispute , whereas arbitration is deciding up such dispute by competent authority. main difference between two is conciliation is proposal of several solution subject to acceptance of proposed solution by parties. buy in arbitration it is decisive and arbitral award is binding on both parties. whereas conc. is just propsal not decision and conc. do not have binding effect
