I run this same burner and mine is more like a jet with blue flames. Burns insanely hot if you crank it all the way up. I tested one time and was able to get my blue flames to up to the top of the wok if i wanted. Was great when seasoning my 2 woks. Mine was like a jet right out of the box, never even saw anything to adjust it so im not sure why you have just orange flames. Hope you have gotten this figured out and having fun with it.

May need to adjust flame should burn blue not orange
@mikeobedoza11 ай бұрын
wow didn't know that. thanks for the heads-up. i'm going to assume i just need to adjust the air flow in there to get the hottest color - blue!

@@mikeobedoza It definitely needs more air.

Asian or Chinese restaurant supply or markets sells the high BTU burners but it's not cheap.

Can u do a video with the air up and see if it’s any hotter or better plz?

Thanks for your video. Try next time add your soy sauce around the rim of your hot wok let it come down the side and Carmelize lot more flavor 😊

will definitely try it next time.

Noob question here. How much does your wok pan weighs ? I want light weight wok as I need to retire my thick old-school cast iron pan and absolutely love stire fry and need to upgrade cooking.
@mikeobedoza7 ай бұрын
the wok pan i have is a ton lighter than a cast iron pan. it's meant for a lot of movement. my only recommendation is making sure it's a large one that has a rounded bottom for this burner. It may take up a lot of space but, i love wok cookery.
@andromakennethamblesorten7 ай бұрын
@@mikeobedoza Ya. I'm not a fan of the flat bottom ones. I cant wait for me to find my burner and wok.

you missed shaoxing wine (outstanding-required ingredient). First veggies: onions + carrots until onions are translucent. I'd also put the garlic in after I saute the veggies for a bit ... I'm guessing you're Hawaiian..? Or maybe Japanese..?

So much is missing here about running a burner, and especially SAFETY. I don't think I'd even run the rig as it's set up. The back-story of a hot-tool accident supports my apprehension.

yeah that thing is meant to be on the floor but, i wanted to demonstrate how this thing can be used otherwise. and then at the end of the day did anybody die? ha i guess not so we're all good!

From the video. It looks like all the burns weren't lit. The center was off, which didn't provide you with the full 80K BTUs

Not sure what part you were talking about but, i've used burner several times now and it burns OK. it's still not a rocket ship that i'm used to.

It was painful watching u cook that egg on a supposedly good wok burner. The egg cooked REALLY SLOW. My home burner and wok cooks a lot faster than that. The flames on the burner are also very weak and not good for real wok cooking.

Terrible video!! You didn’t show the power of the wok burner at all! Your fried rice looked awful and there really is no need when cooking fried rice to cook everything separate and then reintroduce it. 1/10
