Honestly I uploaded these when the DVDs went out of print in the US with the intention of taking them down myself when it got relicensed. Sort of sad that may never actually happen, but I think you're right. The anime wasn't a big hit and the game franchise has been dormant for 20 years. I've been flagged for 1 minute preview clips of other shows but no one cares about poor old Arc the Lad.

As far as I know this is the only Arc The Lad anime.

Yeah it's more based around the secound game then the first because the main hero is Elk in the game and in this anime as well.Elements of the first game do appear in this anime as well. The Arc The Lad games are a fun line of games to play and I do think if your interested to play them you should because you will have fun with them all. All though if you want to know more about Arc play the first game.

Yes, it's based on the games, specifically the first two. Although I've never played any of them so I can't say how true to them it is.

@chrislevine I've never played the games but I've read some plot summaries and I prefer the anime's. But if I'd played the games first I'd probably be in the same boat.

I love the original 3 Arc The Lad games, Twilight of the Spirits was okay, the anime was good but End Of Darkness was dissapointing

I'd imagine there's a torrent. Personally I thought the Japanese voice acting was pretty weak so hence the English dubs.
