It takes a lot of strength and control of one's emotions to sing a song with those lyrics live.

Arcade Fire is brilliant. Srsly, I cannot find a more wonderful sound of music or a better group of people to play it.

Perfect. I love that she got the ending live just as well as she performs it in the album. The feeling of freedom it evokes is truly priceless.

She definitely doesn't have a strong voice, but for this song, that vulnerability works for me. It's sort of a childlike thing, and it makes sense.

I know what you mean. Have you seen the version live @ Paradiso? That's my favourite version of this song but even there she doesn't manage to pull it off. Still an amazing performance though. I can't wait for them to hit the road again!

@Hog4n That's kinda weird because last week I met this very nice lady at a dinner at my grandparent's house in Longueuil a retired english teacher that lived in Haiti and has "Chassagne" as a last name and that has the same fucking face like Regine xD

is "alice" a reference to alice in wonderland? or some sort of implication that death can attack imagination? or something else
@BeardedGlory15 жыл бұрын
that part at 3:39 is amazing in the studio version but she can never seem to put as much force when she does it live. but its probably super hard to sing live she's still amazing nonetheless
