Im really suprised this song was made just recently, it sounds like something written in the 1800s by some legendary composer not Arcade Fire. So props to Arcade Fire, they are amazing for this.

I know right? The first time I heard this I thought it was a re-appropriation of some piano piece written by a composer from late 19th century Paris. Oh my surprise when it was composed by Arcade Fire.

Seriously surprised it's by AF, there latest music is shit. Nothing very instrumental, it seems as though they are moving toward digital music with their last album.

And every day that goes by, we Ben now in late 2018. She presents herself in Everest thing such as songs that I have shared with her or even a location that we made memory of. I cant even go to the gas station without seeing a simple bag of chips that reminds me of her. Why do I suffer like this? Am I really not over her or is a part me still in love with another part of me that projects these thoughts of joy?
@Joao3213310 жыл бұрын
For me, what makes this scene so special is the simple and basic idea that songs reminds us of moments. Who never remembered something you are really fond of, or nostalgic about, and got emotionally touched after hearing just a piece of a song? It is just AMAZING seeing this in a movie, and it fit perfectly in the movie context.

This movie has had a long lasting effect on me. The score was the most beautiful score I've ever heard. The story telling was perfect. Theodore and Samantha's relationship was ambiguous enough for everyone to related but the intricicies of it remind anyone that watches the movie that all couples go through the same bullshit. The relationship Theodore had with his ex was the relationship we all have with that one ex, and the way she treated him during the lunch scene was eerily spot on in many ways. I find myself rewatching it often, and listening to this song at least once a week. One last thing, I fell in love with Samantha's character, just like everyone else. She was wonderful.

I completely agree. This movie was so brilliantly acted and written that it made you feel like you were in the relationship and, by the end of the movie, you felt as though you had been through a breakup too. This actually hit me harder than my real breakup with my girlfriend of 6 months.

This was my favorite scene of the entire movie. Simply stunning.

...such a beautiful, heartfelt, & dreamy music... it made me deeply reflect on all the beautiful memories in my life...and it also somehow create such a 'freeing' feelings... as if there's no limits / limitations like in our everyday's real-life / real-world / reality... and lastly,..it somehow invokes imaginations & dreams again...just like a little child/kid again.. . . :') I wish this really-beautiful music is being played in radio stations nowadays...

Samantha: Well, I was thinking, we don't really have any photographs of us. And I thought this song could be like a photo that captures us in this moment in our life together. Theodore: Aw, I like our photograph. I can see you in it. Samantha: I am.”

I think it deals with very dark aspects of the human nature, mainly what Erika mentions which is precisely a twisted and possessive definition of love which most humans experience and is completely wrong in my humble opinion. I was able to enjoy the movie very much since I've always been a loner and understand how wonderful and hard being alone can be at the same time. What I truly loved was the sense of peace portrayed in the background, despite being a big city scenario, the entire movie gave a feeling of the main character living in a Utopia (despite his loneliness). Everything around him is beautiful, calm, simple, happy, peaceful. No violence, no ghettos, no traffic or rush hour scenes, no poverty. That's what truly stuck to me from this movie. :)

It's funny how everyone says this is composed by "The Arcade Fire". Did all of the band members just position their hands at different points along the piano to play their respective parts? I think not. One person is clearly giving a consistent direction to the arrangement - Owen Pallett. I don't think Owen Pallett gets enough credit for the work he's contributed to the score. Usually, he's fleetingly mentioned as an Arcade Fire collaborator; but the uploader doesn't even mention him at all and neither does anyone in the comments. If you've listened to Pallett's solo releases and understand how he arranges things, you know his touch is all over this score. On his facebook page there is a photo of a modest apartment, and the furniture is almost completely covered with sheets of orchestral pieces he composed for "Her."
