Same. I came back home switched on the small tv next to my desk as the walked onto the stage and as Reflecktor built and built my head couldn’t stop itself turning to watch this performance. Then Hey Orpheus manifested - a transformative moment leading into Sprawl. I’d never seen or heard anything like it. Probably unrepeatable.

I genuinely thought I was at this Glastonbury until recently, but then remembered I watched it on TV after taking a 'heroic' dose of mushrooms, I was on that stage! I hadn't been to actual Glastonbury since 2007.

I never expected a song like this from Arcade Fire when it first came out. Has a great reminiscent feel to it. Love it!! Bowie's vocals is the perfect fit for this, "Thought you would bring me to the resurrector Turns out it was just a reflektor (It's just a reflektor).

Rush and The Hip are the two jewels in Canada's rock crown. but I do love me some Arcade Fire as well. Shout-outs to The Guess Who/BTO and Chilliwack and April Wine and Steppenwolf and Glass Tiger and Honeymoon Suite and Loverboy and Triumph and 54-40 and Metric and Doug and the Slugs and, dare I say it (and I do), The Spoons. Fifi A - The well recorded and well mixed and mastered music from the Eighties sounds WAY better than heavily limited and compressed contemporary music. I have several albums on both Vinyl and Digital formats (both lossy and lossless). Even when digitally mastered and mixed, many Vinyl formats are mastered without the excess of "Brickwall Limiting" that plagues most modern formats (see "Loudness Wars" for more info on the topic). Good vinyl (or high resolution tape, etc.) on a good system resolves more on the order of (the digital equivalent of) 700 Bits vs. the 16-24 Bits of commercially available digital formats, and that's excluding the very-noticeable signal-compression and ducking (signal-limiting) effect endemic to digital formats, unfortunately. Once your hear it it's hard to un-hear! Don't get me wrong, I still listen to plenty of digital music, but definitely prefer good Vinyl to Slammed Digital, any day.
