I was looking for this song for 12 years, I've heard it once on the radio and never again. Today it's a beautiful day because I finally find it. I'm crying. This song feels like getting back at home to me.

15 years ago, Arcade Fire created a chorus without a single word. Yet, it still holds mountains (beyond mountains HAHA) of power and intensity. Fans across the world can sing this chorus and unite, without having to sing a single word. Arcade Fire holds a talent that is extremely unique and beautiful. Freakin powerful.

I used to play cello with a comunitarian orchestra at my hometown in Mexico, my former Cello teacher was murdered by some local mafia by mistake (he wasn't involved in any shady stuff). A couple months after his murder, the comunitarian orchestra threw a concert to honor his memory, this was one of his favorites songs, and part of the closing concert. Thank you Arcade Fire, you keep alive the memory and soul of Mr. Alberto. Greetings from Mexico!

This song reminds me of the time in which I was working In the US as a Researcher. My girlfriend and I were having a difficult time due to our long-distance relationship. It was a Thursday, I was working for a deadline on the same day. There was a movie night with pizza in the common area of the University and they were showing 'The secrete life of Walter Mitty'. I just had a call with her. Things were going bad. Everything looked bad. The movie was white noise in the background. Then, the main riff of this song started. The song of the guitar captured me completely. I look up and see Walter taking all of his courage and starting to run, and the chorus of the song explodes. And right inside of me I felt it, the force, the hope, that everything was going to be okay. We broke up a few days later. I had a rough year but I finally feel happy, calm, and on track with my life.

I think this masterpiece is composed by two different parts: in the first, I can feel a sense of sadness and resignation; in the second, when the rythm is faster, I feel a sort of desire of rebirth, the awareness of oneself in the world. What do you think?

Dude I saw this band at Coachella while tripping on acid with all my best friends at the time and it was freaking amazing. Was such a special time(20 years old) and we were so happy and naive about life but totally in the moment. 34 now and some have had kids, drug addiction, death and every other curve ball in life. Most of us lost contact with each other but we have this moment in time and it’s amazing. Life’s a trip. Hug your mom and dad or who ever you love and enjoy every day like it’s your last because hell who knows what tomorrow holds. Enjoy the present because before you know it you’re 34 and that 14 years feels like a blink of an eye. Peace and love 💕

This continues to be one of my favorite songs! I remember hearing it first from "Where the Wild Things Are" trailer, which was my favorite childhood book. The song holds a lot of sentimental value.

Yes! I couldn't remember where I first heard it! Thank you so much for reminding me of the movie. That is exactly where I heard it. First time taking my little son to a movie as a single mom. This song came on and I remember thinking, "we're gonna make it. We gonna be ok."

Travelled through the Baltic States and Eastern Europe listening to this song every day. It was our "wake up" song to get ready for a new country or a new place to see. 👌

Haven't thought about this track in years. It just started playing in my head inexplicably, reminding me of its existence. I think it knows what kind of day I've had and that I needed an old friend - in itself - around. Cos it's been there for me times I somehow made it through, in the now distant past. Thank you Music.

I will be always wondering how a group react when it comes up with such a song. Do they instantly realize the masterpiece they just wrote? "Damn, we have something here and it's gonna be huge!"

When I was 2 and we left my dad, we moved into a public housing square, and the first night we slept there, I saw a creature outside my window, it was breathing on the glass, it said that it loves me, and it will be with me until I grow up, he told me myself in my dream last night.

I first heard this song several years ago done by a bunch of contestants on an American TV show called "The Sing Off", investigated to see who did the original and have been hooked on Arcade Fire ever since. This group was one of my best musical finds in my 74 years of loving and seeking music.

I think about my dog every time I hear this song. We couldn't afford to keep her and we were about to give her to another family. Just before that was supposed to take place, I saw her running around the garden chasing flies; she stops for a moment and lies belly down on the grass, just taking in the air serenely. I knew right then that I had to keep her. And although she was only with us for less than 10 years, she made every one of those years special. RIP Debbie 2009-2017
