15 years ago, Arcade Fire created a chorus without a single word. Yet, it still holds mountains (beyond mountains HAHA) of power and intensity. I used to play cello with a comunitarian orchestra at my hometown in Mexico, my former Cello teacher was murdered by some local mafia by mistake (he wasn't involved in any shady stuff). A couple months after his murder, the comunitarian orchestra threw a concert to honor his memory, this was one of his favorites songs, and part of the closing concert. Thank you Arcade Fire, you keep alive the memory and soul of Mr. Alberto. Greetings from Mexico!

This song reminds me of the time in which I was working In the US as a Researcher. My girlfriend and I were having a difficult time due to our long-distance relationship. It was a Thursday, I was working for a deadline on the same day. There was a movie night with pizza in the common area of the University and they were showing 'The secrete life of Walter Mitty'. I just had a call with her. Things were going bad. Everything looked bad. The movie was white noise in the background. Then, the main riff of this song started. The song of the guitar captured me completely. I look up and see Walter taking all of his courage and starting to run, and the chorus of the song explodes. And right inside of me I felt it, the force, the hope, that everything was going to be okay. We broke up a few days later. I had a rough year but I finally feel happy, calm, and on track with my life.

Dude I saw this band at Coachella while tripping on acid with all my best friends at the time and it was freaking amazing. Was such a special time(20 years old) and we were so happy and naive about life but totally in the moment. 34 now and some have had kids, drug addiction, death and every other curve ball in life. Most of us lost contact with each other but we have this moment in time and it’s amazing. Life’s a trip. Hug your mom and dad or who ever you love and enjoy every day like it’s your last because hell who knows what tomorrow holds. Enjoy the present because before you know it you’re 34 and that 14 years feels like a blink of an eye. Peace and love 💕

This song 15 years later is astonishing as that time...here and there you can also find a live version singed together with David Bowie, simply amazing too...

I think about my dog every time I hear this song. We couldn't afford to keep her and we were about to give her to another family. Just before that was supposed to take place, I saw her running around the garden chasing flies; she stops for a moment and lies belly down on the grass, just taking in the air serenely. I knew right then that I had to keep her. And although she was only with us for less than 10 years, she made every one of those years special. RIP Debbie 2009-2017
