I got good at Elevator Action because the machine at the Magic Mountain arcade in 1983 was broken and for some reason didn't require quarters to play. So I played for an entire afternoon with my friend David and no one was the wiser.

What I love about all the classic games I played as a kid is the unique music. You name it, I can hum it. From super Mario, karateka, Mappy, Contra, pac-man, paperboy, etc... The list is too long... Even the sounds when you die.

I remember the best i've ever finished, was ten buildings. It was too difficult for me to controlling it further, cause the insane enemies and elevator's speed

I remember one day at June of 1984, a 15 yers old boy had finished this game with ,only, two soins. After 10 minutes the police came and arrested him inside the shop we played. We never see him again αnd his parents. If anyone have a some experience or know something please give some informations. This happened to Greece(Athens city)

Please explain how to enable the "no hit" dip switch cheat.

+NoEgg4u hit the tab key after you start the game in mame. Go to live where it says like 3 or 4 lives. HIt the arrow keys until it has no hit or invincibility. Then you have the no hit dip switch cheat.

+Old Classic Retro Gaming That dip switch allows me to change the number of lives to between 3 and 6. There is neither a "no hit" nor an "invincibility" value. :-(

+NoEgg4u It was done via dipswitch setting under the number of lives. It should take you past 6 lives that says No hit or invincibility. But I'll have to check it again and see since I have not played this game a while. I'll get back to you as soon as I find out.

+NoEgg4u Alright, by looking at the dipswitch setting, when you hit the tab key, go to dipswitch, and go all the way down to Invulnerability (Cheat) and select on. Close mame and open up mame again. Start the game and there you go. you go the no hit cheat. But if you want to disable it, Select off and restart mame.

+Old Classic Retro Gaming My dip switch options do not include what you have described. Perhaps I have a different (older?) version of the rom/zip file. I can change the difficulty, number of lives, free play, etc, but nothing related to no hit or cheat or invulnerability. Thanks for checking.

I cannot tell you where you buy this game. But you can search for the "mame" related rom for this game. Via mame, you can play this game, and it will behave exactly as the coin operated machine behaved (because mame runs the code that was used on the coin operated machines). The only difference will be with the controller. You will have to use your keyboard, or have a custom made console that matches the original coin-operated console.
