I really like the presentation of this one. Vague, simplistic story, stylish music, sound effects, and graphics. It also seems really satisfying to collect all the medals your enemies drop. Helps to slightly differentiate the game from others like it, too.

I just started playing this and yeah, it really is satisfying. Especially when you activate your shield and smash into enemies. The sound effects are top notch in this one and really add to the experience.

Use to play this constantly back in 2000-2001. My friend and I would challenge ourselves by only playing with one quarter and beating the game. Then we would change planes and beat it with different pilots. Great classic top shooter. I think you get to the final final final boss by not dying once but I can't remember exactly how to trigger it, it's been too long.

The music in the first level is so awesome (not that you can hear it much under all the explosions haha). Loved this game on Dreamcast, and it's sequel. Would love to see a Mars Matrix LP sometime.

+beefcurtainz69 I know its been some time and the question is not for me, but they are quite similar, looks like giga wing was inspired by mars matrix, not to mention thet are both from capcom. I cab just say giga wing is just a newer version of mars matrix. they are both great.

Actually both were made by Takumi. Capcom just published the games (Both run on their CPS2 hardware). Also Mars Matrix is newer (even though it looks way worse), it's from 2000 while Gigawing is 1999.
