Great review! You nailed it on the head that back in the day the cabinets were also designed to grab attention and then get played.....this one does that. I wish we could make the games list, if so id do all the street fighter stuff on it, but add in Final Fight, strider, 1943, commando, GnG and a few others. Combine BB with CL

Nice review. Not sure I will pull the trigger as I have the Capcom Legacy and I do prefer that games list to the Big Blue list. Also, I have to think this will not be the only Big Blue we see....it would not surpise me if we eventually get the Street Fighter Alpha or Street Fighter 3 series in a Big Blue form factor as well down the road...

The biggest reason I want this is for the Darkstalker games, and the fact that it has the wifi. I'd love to get it just to be able to play against people in the Street Fighter and Darkstalkers... But man that price. As much as I love Darkstalkers, it doesn't seem worth it.

Great review, while I do like the cabinet and what not, I just do not think I can merit buying Street Fighter 2 a 3rd time. Other than the online part I am content with the Legacy Cab. But again awesome review!

First video that actually covers pcb! I would like to see if that standard usb slot can be used to connect other controllers. I want to just throw the pcb in my full size cabinet! Also i guess that sd card could be used for video recording in the future.

bro they advertise that it's a taller cab, which it is. Disappointing that the screen height isn't any taller than the other ones. in fact it almost looks shorter

It's the Business Model to have a number of useless cabinets ... I might get it for the 3 Darkstalkers games and Capcom Sports [Wifi] but I don't want the $80 stool [Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat Midway LEGACY cabinet ] Joust is the Time killer and bubbles .... I think that's what this big Blue is missing 💙 will their be a Mortal Kombat cabinet with an internet lobby ... Just gauntlet, Rampage, and Mortal kombat titles // WB titles Looney Toons for filler titles

I agree. I have a modded cab with 3k games which more than satisfies but the online play for big blue especially for SF 2 CE would be amazing however, the price is a bit much; if it drops over the holidays, I may grab one.

I haven’t picked up a SF cab. The 499 deal they have put out this week definitely made me pull the trigger on this one. It sucks because I was saving this last slot for time crisis in the future. However, I think I will find space in the future.

Based off of your appreciation of middle fingers and shoot em ups, then I would have to recommend Freedom Finger. If you are not familiar with Freedom Finger, it is a side scrolling shoot em up where you control a spaceship that looks like a hand and shoots projectiles from it's middle finger. Other than that as you were and great review man.

It’s sturdy with no wobble, it’s slightly heavier, no offline score saves, volume is not louder than other cabs.

surprised you didn't say anything about the scanlines that in my opinion is a big step back for Arcade1up but the rest of the system is amazing. Including the online play or being able to watch other people play online which is a cool little hidden feature.

That headphone jack placement tells me either a) no one actually play tested this thing, or b) even worse, they kept it there anyway for cost reasons. Honestly though, I'd pass anyway just based on the aesthetics... the original looked weird, but this one got even skinnier (and weirder). I'm ok without it being "uniform," but only if other A1U cabs are equally unique (but still 3/4-scale). We'll see.

im knew to ur channel but love the few videos i've seen. my problem with arcade 1up is they're scamming their customers. they promised to keep a price range of $300-400 and now they reached a steep high of $799.00 during covid when many have lost jobs or gotten less hours. the price does not jusity the cheap product when all parts are generic. theres been it least 8 price hikes. my advice to all arcade 1up owners or future buyers, please speak with ur wallet. if u want these cabinets to stay at $299 or $399 then don't buy their cabinets at $799, $699, or $599. if u noticed there are no more $299 cabinets even $399 is almost gone.

I'm sorry but it doesn't look cool. Being next to the other cabs does off set the weird look. If it were by itself it would look worse. I do like the slanted control panel but not AS slanted as they made this. I slight slant would be great on all cabs.

The games list on this is good, but I've got other means to play all of them. Hopefully they reuse this cabinet for future Capcom compilations. Still holding out for Aliens vs. Predator.

Alien vs Predator would be an amazing cab. I'm thinking about making my own. The Pi-4 version of the game says not authorized to be played in the United States, so I don't know if that has changed or not.

@@gman7531 their's a rumor that their will be a WiFi and Ethernet cabinet for Mortal Kombat as Well ... as it falls under that same rule as Street Fighter.... it's a cash 💸 cow but if people are willing to buy it why not but their's ton of Arcade devices that get you thousands of games for a about $200 .... ( I have the MIDWAY LEGACY cabinet but got it for Bubbles i Love that Old 1980's title and have it modified to play ▶️ the Nintendo Switch to play all the 2D platforms and beat em up games 🎮) Happiness can't be bought it's all from one's perspective

No having a scan line option is disappointing. Not sure why this option varies from cab to cab when it comes from the same company. 2D fighters like this on an LCD screen looks terrible to me without scan lines or at least a mild smoothing.
