Hey Guys, I hope you enjoy this take on virtual pinball, kind of fun to have it in an Arcade1up. Do you guys think Arcade1up will enter the market with a pinball product? What's your favorite pinball machine? Looking forward to hearing from you guys! Thanks for watching!

Nice👌 I did this a few months ago, simply adding L2 and R2 to the sides to get my pinball fix through PS1 emulation. The Happ buttons are absolutely perfect for pinball action!

Funhouse is amazing! Hitting the ball in Rudy's mouth is freaking awesome!

I used to own this pinball machine in the early 90s. I loved this machine. I wish that I wouldn't have sold it in the early 2000s. Man those were the days.

Favorite pinball game, think maybe 110ish on a pinball machine. When he gets angry is the best part.

I wonder if Pat Lawlor was inspired by the 1981 horror film The Funhouse. A traveling fair with a bunch of weird sideshows (which secretly explain the origins of the funhouse operator), rides and a funhouse operated by a strange guy wearing a frankenstein mask. A group of friends decide to go into the funhouse shortly before it closes, hide inside while the funhouse shuts down for the night, sneak around, witness the funhouse operator doing something horrible (and learn he's behind other horrible things at towns the fair has been to), steal money from the funhouse deposit box, get caught hiding, find that they're trapped inside the funhouse and are then stalked by the operator (there's even a hidden trapdoor scene). I'd love to hear from Pat Lawlor if he was influenced by that movie.

I've got about 95 million on funhouse. Thank for all that back story about funhouse. I'm a bit fan of this table and always wondered about this and why Rudy is so obsessed about the trapdoor.

Mike Smith 95 million! Nice!

It should be mentioned that yes, PInballFX is cartoony, but for the Williams games you need to run it in Arcade mode to get the real physics with no animations. I was a huge fan of Pinball Arcade until this. Now PA feels like the ball's moving through mud.

Did he reuse an A1UP vertical monitor? or did he replace the monitor? The PC costs add up to nearly $500, plus the buttons, LCD encoder, monitor, artwork, etc. and an A1UP cab. Pretty expensive mod, and 'Im not sure if pinball would play that great at that angle and size. Still very impressive mod, I lvoe it when someone takes the time to mod everything including the artwork, etc.
@317Chris4 жыл бұрын
Zehrfox it’s the original vertical monitor. The pc actually belongs in my smash bros arcade so I can play games like mk11, and a bunch of arcade worthy steam games. I plan on using the hdmi splitter i have to feed the video signal to the pinball arcade machine.

The best simulation/emulator wasn’t even mentioned here which is Visual Pinball. By far the most realistic physics. FX3 is getting there though. The VP version of Funhouse is incredible. Too bad he missed it. Check my channel for gameplays of Visual Pinball on a VP cab... haven’t done one of Funhouse yet though.

Rastan350 I’m working on getting it running. I had an issue before on win10. It’s definitely going on there. It just isn’t yet.

Hey Ralph was wondering what is your opinion on rasberry pi 3b versus jamma 60in1,I have the jamma 60in 1 game board and was thinking about getting 412in1 jamma,our is rasberry pi 3b better,I know my audio is not the best with the jamma board but my cabinet only has one speaker,I bought this cabinet all ready done on ebay,it has a 17inch vertical screen running jamma 60in1,but I also seen one with the rasberry pi 3b duel speakers 15000 games light up button and marquee with a 12inch screen 4.3. Usely I play donkeykong galaga digdug games like that,just didn't know if I should send this back and get the cabinet with rasberry pi b our just get the jamma elf 412in1 vertical board to replace my 60in1.

How did you get Pinball Arcade to map to the cabinet controls? The program doesn't recognize mine, I can only use the default keyboard and mouse.

Ralph, you ever have any issues with the Amplifier & Audio setup with these Arcade1up machines? We keep getting humming sound. Any tips would greatly be appreciated. Keep up the great work !
@higashi69694 жыл бұрын
humming is usually caused from the cables. they can either not be very good cables or wires, or they are running along other electrical equipment. try moving the speaker wires away from power sources or lines that have power running through them, or try different wires for the speakers that have better insulation. other things to check, the amplifiers power source, or see if you have a grounding loop going on.
@RetroRalph4 жыл бұрын
I agree with Jon, a lot of times using cables that aren't shielded well will causing buzzing or humming type of feedback. If you do a MOD with an Arcade powersupply I always tell people to route audio and video as far away from the power supply as possible. I hope this helps!

I add side buttons for MAME pinball many years ago to a cab i built, Today i would not do it, even with the newer software, Virtual Pinball needs to be Flat/Horizontal and a Back Screen as minimum for me, Mini virtual 2 screens are cheap and easy to build Thumbs up as it looks and work's well
