Lyrics
And if the snow buries my
My neighborhood
And if my parents are crying
Then I'll dig a tunnel
From my window to yours
Yeah, a tunnel from my window to yours
You climb out of the chimney
And meet me in the middle
The middle of the town
And since there's no one else around
We let our hair grow long and forget all we used to know
Then our skin gets thicker from living out in the snow
You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head
As the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn
Then we tried to name our babies
But we forgot all the names that
The names we used to know
But sometimes we remember our bedrooms
And our parent's bedrooms
And the bedrooms of our friends
Then we think of our parents
Well what ever happened to them?
You change all the lead
Sleeping in my head to gold as the day grows dim
I hear you sing a golden hymn
The song I've been trying to sing
Purify the colors, purify my mind
Purify the colors, purify my mind
And spread the ashes of the colors
Over this heart of mine

That's Will Butler. His brother Win Butler is on guitar and vocals, Wins wife Regine is on drums, Sarah Neufeld and Marika Shaw on violins, Tim Kingbury on bass, Rich Parry on organs, Jeremy Gara on rhythm guitar (Jeremy is the band's usual drummer, but Regine plays drums on this and a couple of other songs).

PITCHFORK is a suitable term for these dubious and unfounded allegations, much of which he has been repentant about. He is neither a saint nor a monster - I think this hunger for trashing and villifying people who can make mistakes as defines humankind, does not mean the band deserve this kind of ghoulish gossip. People are so polarised on this but I question both the gravity and veracity of these supposed crimes. I don't believe he's a bad man, and his and wife Régine's letters (they were apparently in an open marriage) were unequivocally self-aware and contrite. Move on, I'm looking forward to seeing them next Friday and ignoring this tittle tattle from people who once idolised him and consented too - he is no predator in my view. Just look at what Bob Dylan had to endure with far worse claims, totally proven wrong with no consequence for the mendacious accuser. In this case, for a START, that 'gender fluid' person claims they were scared of him but nevertheless invited him to their flat. Easy to rewrite history through malice, being spurned, attention seeking, or wherever that comes from. People are fallible and flawed; it's not as if he raped anyone or was with someone underage, hm? It's a total storm in a teacup just cos so many of his fans seem to regard him as some kind of modern-day prophet. He's no Harvey Weinstein ffs! Groupies never used to moan about these situations but #metoo has done a lot - it seems to me - to bring out the revisionists 'creative version of the truth'. Interested what you think. pitchfork.com/news/arcade-fires-win-butler-accused-of-sexual-misconduct-by-multiple-women-frontman-responds/

As vezes....
