Did you get the impression that Arcadian is a big budget, high salary type of film? He does these type of films beacuse he´s passionate - and famous - for jumping into weird, obscure movies. In the 90´s youd be right - in 2024 your just repeating an old actors myth. When he signs on for Con Air 2 Ill agree with you.

I screamed when they showed the creature the first 2 times. I was so afraid!! But then it got hilarious when we saw the creatures because wtf - they looked like hairless sick horse heads with sloth hands and werewolf bodies. It was ridiculous and for me to be a big old baby on anything slightly scary - I was rolling on the floor laughing when they turned into a flaming wheel of death and all the girl had to do was hit it with the butt of her gun LMFAO honestly wtf was this?! LOL

this movie put a lot of interesting meat on the fire and then didn't properly cook any of it. It's a shame. We get a lot about the relationships father/brothers, brother/brother, brother/girl, and nothing about the main plot. What about the bugs? What about the origin/alien invasion? What about the "machines taking control"? What about the umbrella coming out of the monster's throat? What about the egg (?) on the back of a monster laying on the table? What about the kid trying to understand their physiology and habits. Noooo, let's talk about love.

The clapping their mouths like that, I think, is inspired by owls’ defense mechanism. They puff up, lower their heads and loudly and ferociously clap their beaks. It’s actually really scary if you aren’t expecting it.

it's inspired by a shoebill's long beak and the noise they make that sounds like a machine gun.

it's origin was goofy from a scene from the goofy movie. Then mixed it with a bunch of animal behaviors and details, like shoebills and ants.

Hey there Nick and Joseph! On eclipse Monday I went to see two movies. Those films were "Love Lies Bleeding" and "Wicked Little Letters." You guys gave both of these good reviews and I can see why. They were both excellent! When I went to see "Wicked Little Letters" I was the only one in the entire theatre.

You guys should watch the apple tv series "SEE" starring jason Momoa, about Earth 500 years ahead after a virus caused everyone to be born blind. Ran for 3 full seasons and was pretty darn good, and actually realistic and well thought out societal ramifications.

There was a short story about a British army soldier in 1700 who was hiking and fell off in a cracked mountain. He later finds himself in a valley where all of the people are blind. See, the tv show seems very familiar to that storyline.

They aren't twins. But, I agree they really aren't his biological children. You're the only other review I've heard that agrees with me that he found the babies. I think if the movie was 2 hours, that some of these things could have been a bit more fleshed out.

I'm late but this movie had potential and didn't go where I wish it did. I wish the girl and her family didn't exist, it just split focus for me, would have been scarier with just the dad and 2 boys in isolation IMO. The arm thing was cool IMO but then the creatures never used the long claws ever again in the movie I don't think. I didn't like the snapping and the Sonic the Hedgehog rolling. Like instead of just snapping to make noise, they could have actually been trying to bite people. Some weird choices that made it lose the fear factor for me.

*Spoilers* *Spoilers* *Spoilers* I know this is a spoiler review video but just incase lol. I just got home from seeing this movie and it was awful. The constant need for the camera to always be in motion was a disgusting choice. The monsters when revealed just made me go "How did humanity fall to these?" The first one we truly "see" Nic just flips it over onto its back an stabs it with a kitchen knife to death no issue. Later the kids kill one with two sharpened broom sticks and punches/knife stabbing with a pocket knife. A normal shotgun/gun kills them. It just makes me wonder how humanity fell to these things. They were dying super easy. All they had were their numbers? But even then a guy with a SAW and a few extra belts would have kept them at bay. Let alone hundreds of thousands of soldiers. Also the just figuring out to dig up from under the house. Why didn't the kids an everybody just move to the garage that had concrete walls and concrete floor? The entire movie was a mess for me. Also YES. No Blade of Grass is amazing

Your description of the creatures was fine, until Nick unfazed, that they resembled "sick black bears," added, that there's something wrong with them! Yep! The one 'behind' you faintly, could be the ugly cousin of the first Orcs/Uruk-Hai!
