I think it's a nice touch that "Isha's song" which is played during her self-sacrifice is in a language most of the audience won't understand but you can tell whats being said by both tone and emotion which is the same way a mute person like Isha would communicate.

During Isha and Jinx's montage you can see Jinx's eyes switch from purple to blue a few times. Isha was literally bringing Powder back. That's why Jinx seems a lot more focused in act 2.

@@NikFromEarth Assuming this is what Jinx has - it's also realistic, as someone with schizophrenia. Schizo isn't 24/7 confusion and hallucination. Heightened stress increases it all. But it can be situational. When you are moved to a safer environment, or at least, have less stress than before, it dies down quite a bit. Those are the "moments of lucidity". Things get less clouded and difficult to understand, if only for a while.

I don't really like the interpretation that "Powder" was ever really "gone", as much as characters in the show insist on it - we see Jinx remember things from her past, remember herself as Powder, she's still haunted by her memories as Powder. If Powder was truly gone, Jinx wouldn't even care what she did as a child or about her relationship with Vi. A better way of phrasing it, to me, is to think of Powder as a broken mirror - Jinx was all the broken pieces left over after the break. Isha wasn't "bringing Powder back", she was repairing her.

I honestly think meeting Singed was a real wakeup call for Caitlyn. At first she thought he and his creations were just more of "Zaun's perverse abominations," but when she put on her detective hat, she realized the truth that he was actually just another Piltovan mistreating and abusing the people of the undercity. And doing so motivated by the love of a lost family member, just like her If she continued down the path Ambessa wanted her on, Cait could have become him someday

💯 I have seen no one else besides you pickup on that from Episode 5 and also during the chaos, Singed gave his serum to Vandor... He told Ambessa if Viktor was successful they couldnt use Warwick because he would have his Vandor identity back. Why won't they ever tie people up in this universe. On the flipside, I think the breakthrough in Vi's relationship with Jinx also helped dissipate her negative feelings toward Caitlyn - she wasn't as bitter and hurt in their reunion as might be expected otherwise.

She already had doubts even before that , you gotta keep in mind it isnt "Zaun good and Piltover bad" its not that kind of show we litterly spend whole season 1 setting up that both places were working together to keep peace until Jinx shot the council. Back to Cait its less "another Piltover person abusing Zaun" because at this point Singed is more Zaun then Piltover , it was more about Abessa doing things behind Caits back instead of keeping singed in Jail she is still very much about justice, but the final push was that she wanted to help Vi get her family member back

You know, I've seen other comments like this, and I'd like to offer a different perspective. I don't actually think he was dead naming her. I think that was his way of gently saying that he sees through the bravado and bullshit, to the core of who she really is. "Jinx" was just a mask, a persona she took on as sort of an armor against the pain and rejection she had experienced. I think Viktor was trying to talk to Powder, her true self, who is still buried in there. And became less and less buried throughout this entire season. 💜

Damn that scene of Victor beginning to heal Vander is so cool especially the acrylic paint animation. Also im 99% sure that Vander got so angry again because of Singed injecting him with the mixture because we see him standing in the destroyed greenhouse in the final shots. I do wonder who will be the final villain of act 3 cause ambessa the black rose and Viktor are all still threats.

That can be part of it, but I really doubt it's unrelated to Viktor. Narratively, there has to be a cost for 'killing' Viktor, and no one cares about some random almost-emotionless people in the commune getting killed. Vander has to be that cost. Also, Viktor's fingerprints on Vander are clearly glowing in that sequence, like the rest of the people in the commune. It'd be pointless to draw attention to that if Viktor's 'death' is completely unrelated to what's happening with Vander.

Viktor is gone for the rest of the season, him coming back will just be the reveal of his final league form. Ambessa is obviously the final villain, she'll spin it in a way to make it seem Caitlyn betrayed Piltover and that'll be the final conflict with some more Black Rose perhaps.

Caitlyn wiped Vi's spit towards her mouth 👀 instead of away from her mouth like a normal person would if spit on... She freaky 😂😂 Oh and remember in S1E3 when Sevika lost her arm cause of the hextech blast... You can see Vi fully prepared to take the brunt of that blast by covering Jinx with her body

I think Viktor is the most tragic character in the show. He spent the first season running away from his impending death. By the end of the season he finally accepts his fate. But in season 2 no one will let him die because of selfish reasons. With Jayce its love and desperation and with Singed it's his need for the mutation to survive. (If the obvious happens in the next 3 episodes) His fate was to die and its been taken from him 3 times now. First his illness, then the council explosion and the third the commune. He spent so much time afraid of it and when he finally accepts it, it gets taken away through no will of his own. And even though he is being manipulated by the Void most likely, he never wanted to hurt anyone else.

How I always felt when season 2 was announced and before we got any info other than it being the last was that season 1 was Jinx's season more than anyone else, and that Viktor would be season 2's star. Season 2's tragedy to wrap up on, since I would argue his transformation is more drastic than anyone else in the show. Going from "I want to help you achieve your Hextech dream and help the Undercity" to "JOIN THE GLORIOUS EVOLUTION" and "once I realized the weakness of my flesh-" What I'm really interested in from this point on in the last three episodes is how Viktor's going to factor into the overarching conflicts, because all season he's felt pretty understated and separated from the rest of the characters, until episode 6 at least.

3:40 I think the next act will actually confirm that that’s exactly what he was doing, unknowingly being manipulated by the Hexcore taking the shape of Sky to use his guilt against him to spread itself. Some people noticed how Jayce’s breath was visible because it was cold in that deep room, while Salo had no visible breath because he’s not alive at all, he’s just a shell at this point. I think what Jayce was seeing is what everyone was going to become or what their true forms already were beneath the surface. It’s similar to how demons are said to disguise themselves as angelic beings while angels themselves appear scary to ward off evil. I think that’s the imagery they were using with Jayce, it appears that Jayce is consumed by some evil when really he’s saving everyone from a worse fate. He also has the original crystal given to him by that mage who saved him seemingly bleeding into his wrist, which is the original Arcane, before it was manipulated by man. So I think the Arcane itself was directing Jayce to destroy his creation. He also kept his promise to Viktor in the end and destroyed the hex core.

You are not accounting for a very important detail; even if you are correct, there is a hard limit on Victor's ability to spread. His power is finite, and I got the impression that he was already spreading himself thin before he took on Vander. Now I assume that whatshisass was taking those block things to refuel Viktor, but still. Viktor either has a population cap on his commune or will need an endless supply of those hextec crystals. And thses sorts of energy demans tend to have very harsh walls of diminishing return.

I love how they portray the Arcane. It's very Lovecraftian, Colour Out of Space, Annihilation. But also looks like the Beast's castle in Krull. Compared to the massive attention to detail that the animators had to put into every frame of this show, I bet making the Arcane was a blast. Just pure, unfiltered imagination.

So even knowing a little bit of League of Legends lore, I knew where something characters were heading. And I don't think Viktor is dead yet. If you look carefully during the fight breaking out, you see Singed standing there. Now, he became interested in Viktor having seen him with his powers. So what's to say that he won't "save" Viktor like he saved Vander, the "mutation must survive" after all. Which could lead to his Glorious Evolution.

That would be really interesting as a through line actually. Season 1 Viktor's arc was trying desperately to survive and cure himself so he can better the world. Season 2, Viktor is repeatedly getting brought back from the brink of death by other people right when he thought he was finally doing good, changing him for worse. Like when he thought he had brought peace between Piltover and Zaun, and vowed to destroy Hextech, which had proved dangerous and killed Skye, then he blew up and Jayce used the Hexcore to bring him back instead of destroying it. Now, when he's finally healing people with magic, Jayce and Viktor's dream come true, Jayce blasts him for reasons currently unknown and Singed brings him back so he can continue to "evolve". If you end up being right that is kinda crazy (in a good way)

S1E3 is one of my favorite episodes of any tv show ever. And yet I think this one surpassed it. Also even with how horrible everything went after the fact, I do think Jayce was in the right when he shot Viktor. For one, he promised to destroy the hex core, so he is. But also, Viktor isn’t saving people. He’s been killing them. In episodes 3 and 5, whenever we see people in the core room, the animators make sure to show their breaths due to the room being cold. The only exception to this being when Salo and Jayce were talking in episode 5. We could still see Jayce’s breath, but not Salo’s. He had been “healed” by Viktor to walk again, but he wasn’t breathing. That’s why everything died with him. He was the only thing keeping those people “alive”. That’s likely why he’s able to possess people. A part of him is in all of them.

A thing I realized, that I love so much: Jinx intentionally taught Isha Silco's philosophy. "Never let anyone or anything keep you from doing what you need to do to get what you want most." This is shown in how Isha was growing frustrated with Jinx being complacent and refusing to become a leader to Zaun, and Isha was going out on her own to show the people that Jinx is a symbol of hope, because that's how Isha sees her. However, Jinx also accidentally taught Isha Vander's philosophy. "Always do everything you can to protect the people you love the most, even if it hurts you." And, unfortunately, those two philosophies are a deadly combination when the thing you want more than anything is to protect the person you love more than anything.

I feel Jayce created what he was trying to destroy. As you said, from outside and inside, Viktor was using his powers for good, we even see his "inside" persona as his fresh faced, pre-illness self and always with Sky. I feel Jayce saw a place where all of this is corrupt and wanted to destroy it, but by doing so, destroyed the human part of Viktor, the one lead by Sky, and only kept the corrupted part, the one the cog falls on at the end, and created the issues he wanted to avoid.

All Viktors followers were already dead. Salo had no breath when he was talking to Jayce. Jayce also saw them for what they were, puppets merely imitating life. Viktor killed them long before Jayce cut their strings, he just didn’t know it.

I think the Jayce Victor thing was already kinda explained. Victor said that the arcane is a singularity that is both upholding and destroying itself. Meaning the arcane is both trying to protect itself (Victor) and destroying itself (Jayce). It is a force of nature (as Heimerdinger said in season 1) that exists in balance. Simultaneously a force of creation as well as destruction.

A weird clue i noticed that may shed light on what Jayce knows that we don't. When Jayce came back from wherever he was and was talking to Salo, Jayce had visible breath because of the cold. Salo didnt have visible breath (possibly indicating he is not alive).

Ok so do you think Viktor’s death cause Warwick to be fully unleashed? Or was it Singed injecting him with his serum after everyone runs outside to see what is happening. I want to say it was Singed because when the beast was in control before, he was red, but he was orange this time, not to mention crying and throwing up lava. I don’t think Vander being pushed down into the beast from Viktor’s death would cause that. I guess it could be both as well, Viktor’s death caused Vander to be disoriented enough to where Singed was able to pounce

It's likely a combination of both, because - Singed is deliberately shown standing back in the greenhouse, meaning he was conscious and able to inject his "serum." - the marks on Vander's head were glowing, just like it did with the rest of Viktor's followers. So it's like a mix of two factors - I assume one caused Vander's mind to be lost, while the other led to him going berserker.

In the extended trailer for season 2 we got to see a new look for Vi, and Jinx. With what happened to Echo, Jace and Heimerdinger, I first thought we were getting some alternate timeline event. But after this episode I get it now, Jinx's new look will match how lil Isha was dressed, from the shark lookin teeth on the hoodie, to the pink undereye linebacker line.

Act 2 has been so emotional. I’ve probably watched each episode multiple times now through different reactions and I’ve teared up every single time. That and the stellar music this show has created I’ve been listening to nonstop these past weeks and now listening to each song and remembering the scenes in the show. It just keeps the feelings going. I’m not ready for this show to be over, but can’t wait for Saturday. I’m going to binge watch as to avoid spoilers like I had for this week with Isha’s death. Even though I saw a video title for it. It still absolutely wrecked me 😢.

I'm so interested in how Jinx reacts to what happened to Isha. A lot of her trauma is represented by the voices of people she's lost, and in episode 4 she is actually upset by the fact that Silco's voice has been quiet, cementing him as being truly gone. I'm interested to see if Isha being mute has some symbolic significance when it comes to Jinx's trauma.

34:31 Very insightful man. I was thinking the same thing. They hinted that there was always a reaction to every action. Never take without any give. Another similar metaphor for two sides of the same coin. And given the good of Jayce's character until this point, he will have a reason to have done what he has done. He must of seen what harm it can do. And it ties back to Viktors quote about the paradox of knowledge. Viktor is clearly ignorant to whatever experience Jayce had with the Arcane. And vice versa. I believe the Hexcore is evil, continuing to learn and evolve as Viktor stated in S1. I think the Hexcore is using Sky as a means of manipulation to make Viktor believe what he is doing is good. Jayce knows some sort of truth. Otherwise he isn't the type of person to act in such a impulsive way. What I loved about this episode was how they shown glimpses of the good and bad of the power of the arcane, even in the Utopian society Viktor has created. Members almost seemed devoid of identity, with Viktor's vision the sole purpose of life. Their humanity being slowly taken from them. But also you see the gradual progression of Vander GAINING his. In the beginning of the episode he has feral behaviours but he slowly progressed to standing up right, acknowledging his daughters and even speaking. Very interesting. It could be interpreted for hours. And it makes you unsure what side to take.

The reason vi's gauntlets seemed to be powering down was because isha took the hex crystals out of them, thats where she got her 2 extra ones. Also im interested to see where arc 3 is going because isha kinda destroyed both jinx and vi's crystals, plus Caitlins rifle *seemed* to be left at ambessas camp, so all 3 are going in completely unarmed
