So dang good!!! This reminds me of why Vi and Caitlyn are such a good couple. They're INDIVIDUALS. Both strong people. They want and need each other's love and companionship, but they exist outside of the relationship as distinct people. Beautiful.

They kinda did Vi dirty tho in S2. She got diminished to Jinxe’s sister and Cait’s girlfriend more than often not to mention that writers thought that it would be fun to turn her into a punching bag for everyone and everything. She was the only one out of the mains that didn’t have really any character development or big moment. She broke up with Cait and all she did was drink herself to death while Cait was out there trying to run a city. Not much individualism there.

Her character arc was just about her relationship? 😭 I would say her time with Jinx and Vander again was also kind of a culmination, but honestly there was barely any arc because there wasn't much exploration. It felt like she was there to help other characters develop their storylines. But again, I guess it was lovely, finally she can be at peace, feel safe and comfortable, regular meals, have someone by her side who she can fully trust, who she doesn't need to act strong all the time for 🥹 she's always put others before herself, and now she finally did something for herself, she finally has the time and space to heal from all her unresolved trauma, to properly grieve her loved ones. All her life she's been chased by guilt, violence, pain. A character who loved so much, had so much compassion to a fault, can finally love freely with no constraints, no bad consequences

@@Rumx1412Vi’s arc is about how she always puts others above herself. When she broke up with Caitlyn she had no one to protect, so she loses her identity. She uses the paint to literally cover up who she is (her face tattoo of her name) as well as her relationship with jinx (she covers the smoke tattoo in her back with paint. The smoke was supposed to be that signal she gave Powder in season 1 act 1.). Jinx in the last act realizes this and knows she has to let her sister go so she can heal (plus Jinx herself is reminded of the past by her sister. Essentially they both just need to be apart, and Jinx knows this). That’s why she fakes her death and leaves Piltover. Caitlyn knows she escaped, but doesn’t tell Vi, because she thinks she will leave her to go look for her sister, because she knows Vi never gives up on the ones she loves. When she asks Vi if she’s still in this fight, she means if she’s still motivated to fight for Piltover and Zaun now that her sister is out of the picture, to which Vi replies “I am the dirt under your nails, Cupcake. Nothing’s ever going to clean me out.” In other words, yes, she is now willing to let go of her sister and act for herself rather than for others for the first time since Vander died. No, I’m totally not obsessed or anything hahahaha

⁠​⁠When did Vi ever protected Caitlyn tho? It’s always Cait who does the bidding for her. (Trying to save her life, securing shimmer, selling her gun, taking her to speak infront of the council, picking her up when she gets injured ) Vi couldn’t even protect her against her own sister. She even put both of them in danger because she couldn’t finish the job she promised she would do. Same with Jinx. Vi is being put into that role by Vander and her mind but she rarely delivers. She would go after Jinx and do what exactly after she finds out she is alive? Jinx doesn’t need her hasn’t this supposedly registered with her after her prison escape where she clearly chooses Cait over running after her? You gotta make your mind up is Vi moving on or is she stuck in a back and forth limbo where she can never make up her mind? If it’s the latter then this isn’t very good character writing or development for her. At least if you wanna portray her as a protector don’t just only tell us that she is one let her also show it more. Even the last save was given to Jinx and the co creator said that a) he knows that Vi didn’t have much this season because them focusing on other characters was important to them and b) according to him Cait is tougher than Vi. I mean…fans have a right to be upset about how her character ended up when even producers left her on the sidelines

Beautiful. Many criticize Caitlyn's character because they didn't understand her. It's actually just fantastic. She had a difficult period that allowed her to grow and mature. Who knows if we'll see her again, maybe Mel will need her help in Noxus... Too bad she lost her eye. I don't understand the director's choice

Odin lost an eye in exchange for wisdom/knowledge. There’s several myths and stories that had similar “trade offs”- like a demarcation of physical loss resulting to emotional growth

It’s part of Ambessa’s lesson of sacrifice. Caitlyn made a lot of mistakes in this season but she wanted to make up for those mistakes, was willing to give her life for Piltover and Zaun to have a chance. Even though it wasn’t her shooting eye, Caitlyn understood that she needed to give a part of herself up to win that war.

I don't understand the hate on cait, her character development althrough the show took my heart. From being an innocent kid to forgiving the person who killed her mom( no hate on Jinx) she's a gem.

You have to be a very strong person to forgive something like that vi and jinx all so lost their parent’s they know the pain you get from something like that to be able to forgive the person who caused you that pain I think cait is a great character

@@OBlade-ED Personally, this forgiveness thread was very far-fetched for me. For me, killing a parent or someone close to you is in the group of unforgivable acts. Simply not! And here Jinx is forgiven too easily. I am more convinced by the assumption that Cait did not so much forgive Jinx as simply thought "I can't hate you anymore! Disappear from my life once and for all!"

Caitlyn was already dealing with grief after losing her mother. She needed time to heal. It didn’t help that she was thrusted into a leadership position right after in a time on conflict and war.

I was deployed with MP and infantries...they acted like Caitlyn whenever they lost a battle buddy...with pure rage. I understood her. Least to say grieving and sexual frustration are a bad mix. Like Jinx called it "I hope you had a chance to...😏" Ambessa knew all that because she is tactical...a war strategist.
