Love the mashup I have I watched all of them but I can do without the guy in the top left of the screen. He talks in almost every important screen shot if you do a reaction video you have to understand when to speak and when not to speak. Once in a hiwl tis cool but almost every important screen he talks and starts to speak over the dialogue in the film.

This show is just amazing. I’ve rewatched it like 5 times by now. The music is incredibly, the character building is fantastic, and the foreshadowing is phenomenal. As a writer, this show is an inspiration on what makes a memorable and legendary story.

I truly believe this is the one example I can think of when it comes to a MASTERY of entertainment and story telling. If there was ever a show that deserved a 10/10 it would be this one. the subtleties of the writing are amazing and I find it genuinely hilarious that some people can only critique the show by saying it's predictable at times. Predictability doesn't matter, execution does and this show hits on all cylinders.

This reaction shows how well written and well paced every single scene is. Very clear reactions by almost everyone at once to the key moments in each scene, barely anything going over people's heads, even "smaller" things like multiple reactors realising instantly that Jayce interrupting Viktor is a callback to episode 2. The level of craftsmanship is unreal

@@joanwong2104 It's pretty ironic how this all came to be. In a twisted way it's kinda Vi's fault. When Jayce asked who made the bombs even Caitlynn wasn't going to sell out (i.e. mention) Jinx but Vi stepped up and said that it was Jinx. If Vi had never done that then Jayce would have never picked her as the scapegoat for the peace deal and thus Silco wouldn't have been so conflicted etc.

I hear a lot of people saying, "Oh no she is choosing to be Jinx." But this is sad because it's the same misguided view Vi has which is what makes it so tragic. There is no choice here, Jinx is WHO SHE IS and who she has ALWAYS BEEN. Vi doesn't really see her sister, she sees the idealized version of her sister and wants that back. Jinx has simply grown up and become more confident in herself but if you re-watch the series the signs of who she would become were there even when she was running around as "Powder". Jinx has had a lot of trauma in her life with a lot of loss, and people not seeing the real her only compounds on her issues of trust and feelings of isolation. It's like she says to Vi that she had hoped Vi could love her even though she had changed but it was obvious she couldn't. Vi wanted her helpless little sister back that needed saving all the time rather than seeing Jinx had grown up and no longer needed anyone's protection but instead just needed a friend and sister to be there and support her. Instead Vi wanted to swoop in as the Hero and kept treating Jinx as a helpless little girl in need of saving. Meanwhile Jinx sees Vi having a relationship of equals with Caitlyn and is jealous because that's what she wants with her sister but her sister refuses to acknowledge her as an equal.

She is a genius with a talent of machines and explosives with a bit of an artistic side. Sure in a better environment those talents could have been applied to more productive measures but like Vi you don't see Jinx. She was being smothered by her sister who thought she was protecting her. It's like an over bearing parent who doesn't let their kid go out into the dangerous world and then kid grows up being unable to cope with problems. Sure she is a bit clumsy but that is part of being a kid and growing up as you learn how to do things. Look at the emotional break down Jinx has when Vi tells her that she can't go help save their father figure. The scratches on the film showing her trauma are there from the start of the series and is heighted when she sees this further rejection by her sister. And lastly the scratches are given form after the tragedy that results in the death of everyone but Vi. Powder represents the helpless clumsy little girl that needs protecting. The child that the overbearing Vi sees her as. Jinx represents the strong capable and self-reliant person with her own sense of identity she was always meant to be. Vi only sees the weak helpless Powder in need of saving and protection. She doesn't see Jinx who can handle herself and has opinions of her own. Not once does Vi try to see things from Jinx side, she doesn't even try to talk to her sister. Vi shows up and wants to take her away without any feedback. This is what I'm talking about. It's like people telling those suffering from depression, "Just quit being so down/gloomy/etc." They don't see the person just the actions and think their two cents pep talk will change things. Vi's attitude is on par with this as she thinks she knows what's best for Jinx. Jinx is a genius who is very capable and easily Vi's equal. Look at the chairs and you'll see the one labeled Powder if full of childish things because it represents the helpless child that Vi sees her sister as. She refused to acknowledge the person Jinx is now. Jinx has taken the name that people original used as an insult/joke and made it her own, like a big guy being called Tiny. It's being disrespectful to someone by referring to them as a different name then the one they go by. When done among close friends at a slight bit of joking around it can be ok. But when dealing with someone your estranged with it shows you don't value their opinion. And that is what I mean by Vi doesn't see the real Jinx as she refuses to call her Jinx along with all that it represents. She continues to refer to her as Powder, the helpless little girl who doesn't know what's good for her.

You're being hyper-sympathetic to Jinx and incredibly unsympathetic to Vi, and it's clearly skewed your perception because there's very obvious things I think contradict this take. Firstly, of course Vi see's Jinx as Powder, that's who her sister is to her. She grew up with Powder and was imprisoned for however many years with only those memories of who her little sister was, so of course she has no concept of how much Powder has changed. That's hardly her fault. I agree that there was never any choice, Jinx _is_ who she is now and she will never be Powder again, but that's not to say she always has been or always _has_ to be. Jinx is a psychotic murderer who delights in killing, Powder was innocent and uncomfortable with violence. Summing that change up as her "becoming more confident in her self" is just asinine. Vi wants her sister back period, her concept of Powder isn't "idolized" it's just out-of-date. She is reunited with Jinx for all of about 30 seconds before Caitlyn and the Firelights show up, not nearly long enough for her to appreciate how much the Powder she knew has changed, but she _does_ love Jinx even though she's different. This whole show is Vi refusing to give up on her sister when everyone tells her she's too far gone. Older siblings tend to be protective of their younger ones, but you've decided to view this as negatively as possible for some reason? That her need to find and protect her sister, the one she abandoned, isn't based on love and atonement but a hero complex? Seems a _tad_ uncharitable to me. Jinx does need help and protection, if only from herself. I don't know how anyone could watch this show and think otherwise. She literally has psychosis. One of the first things she says to Vi is "are you real?" So, I don't think you can blame Vi for not talking to her like the rational, stable person she isn't. Silco was right when he said "she'll be with you one day before she realizes you aren't that girl any more" but he was wrong when he said Vi would turn her back on her. What she said to Cait in her room indicates she feels responsible for what happened to Powder. Powder was not "smothered" by Vi at all. The very first episode, in which we see the most of their relationship, is full of Vi encouraging Powder and telling her she's ready. She encourages her gadgetry "I've got these, and you've got those. They never work. They will." She comforts and reassures her "we've all had bad days. You're stronger then you think." In the second episode she says "what makes you different makes you strong." This is not a sister who sees her sibling as someone only to protect, she sees and encourages Powder's potential, and clearly Powder does not feel smothered so I don't know where you're getting that but it's not from the show. "she doesn't even try to talk to her sister." Um, yeah she does. Their brief reunion is her desperately trying to explain and convince Jinx she's there for her before they interrupted. The next time they see each other Jinx opens fire on her. Vi is not given a lot of time to get know the new Powder, her struggling to reconcile the Powder she knew with the actions and reputation of Jinx has nothing to do with seeing her as helpless or her "opinions." Vi's concern is based on Jinxs' actions, working with Silco, killing people, clearly being unstable. Jinx is a genius and also a dangerous lunatic, but she doesn't have to be the last part. Powder represents innocence, not helplessness, an innocence that's never coming back. No, taking the name Jinx is not like a big man being called Tiny because the latter is ironic. The big man is calling himself Tiny because he isn't, she's calling herself Jinx because she thinks she _is_ a jinx and is embracing it, but she's not. She doesn't have to be destructive and volatile. With support, with help, she could reach a much healthier mental state. Vi doesn't call her that because it is an insult, because becoming Jinx was not a good thing. If your estranged sister became a heroin addict everyone called Skank, even if she proudly called herself Skank, you still probably wouldn't want to call her that.

Either way I don’t know how your takeaway is that vi was hampering jinx when she’s literally like eight, vi even let’s her come with her on a heist and constantly reassures her she’s competent and a member of the group w her own strengths as a mechanic, doesn’t even judge her for a terrible mistake that completely erased the whole point of the mission etc. even if she doesn’t let her come on one very dangerous mission. She does call her jinx due to lashing out after powder kills almost her entire family bc she didn’t follow instructions which I feel is a p understandable emotional burst

@@Fangtorn I'm not being unsympathetic of Vi, If anything it's the opposite as I'm pointing out the reasons why she is having trouble connecting with her sister again which is what makes it's tragic. Also caring about someone doesn't negate the Hero Complex as people can easily fall into the trap of wanting to help because they want to save someone only to end up doing more harm. Yeah Jinx has mental trauma and needs help for that. If I had a sibling that really wanted to be called Skank then yeah I would. Given that a lot of people go by handles now a days it's not uncommon for people to refer to each by nicknames and actually shows a sense of connection as it's not just your given name but one chosen among close friends. I had a brother who dealt with addiction issues for much of his life and regardless of if it's addiction or mental trauma the person has to WANT to get help you can't force it upon them. Sure you can drag them to rehab and lock them up to get them clean but if they aren't committed to change otherwise they are going to go back to what they were doing. It's tragic and sad but at the end of the day you can't make people's choices for them no matter how much you might want to. Also as shown in many shows about people dealing with mental issues refusing to refer to them by the identity they choose tends to set them off. It's practically a trope where someone is trying to talk someone down and says the wrong name which undoes what's been said thus far because even if you don't think Jinx is who she is, it's clearly what she believes and choosing not to acknowledge that is denying her identity. It seems some people have misunderstood what I've been trying to say. I feel sorry for Vi because she wants to just take her sister and leave with her sister in tow and looking up to her like the "good old days". And it's not a case of being "estranged" from her sister as those to be mutually choices that happen as people drifted apart in time. Vi was in prison for 7 years and Jinx grew up into an adult on her own. Jinx had to find her own way in the world and make a life for herself maybe she's got some new close friends. The point is Vi doesn't know much of anything about who her sister has grown up to become other than Jinx is working for Silco and thus wants to take her away. But Jinx is not some helpless kid living in the back of a bar who can pick up and move because her sister says so anymore. Another way to look at it is like someone who is in an abusive relationship. Vi wants to get her sister Jinx out of that relationship but just like so many situations in real life Jinx has to want to leave. You need to give them support and show you actually care more than simply taking them someplace safe to stay for one night because this is uprooting their entire life. Sure they are better off but you have to get them to see that and want it. If you try and just drag them away they may just run back as it is sadly often the case. Jinx has serious abandonment issues among many other things. Vi has to build trust with her sister if she wants to reconnect and help her. The last thing she told her sister was how she didn't want to see her ever again and now she shows up asking Jinx to trust her and abandon the life Jinx has known up to this point. I don't see any situation where even someone who wasn't mental traumatize would be completely onboard to uproot their life and leave with someone that they had parted on such bad terms with shortly after meeting them again.
