Arcangelo Corelli, what a master of the art! By far my favorite work of Corelli, stunning, uplifting, so detailed and intricate, like cascading waves of light dancing on the water...God I love this piece ...Corelli surely was touched by God when he wrote this. The perfomance is outstanding, the acoustics sound so full and rich. Thank you very much for sharing such a lovely work.

A wonderful, honest, sincere and SUNNY performance just as Corelli should be! LOVE the seating arrangement of the orchestra as well, looking more or less like a choir of the heavenly angels. So refreshing cause the leaders aren't trying too hard to show off too much, unlike some who shall remain nameless... Biondi! Oops! LOL

I heard L'aura Soaves concert in Vienna 9th of April. Magnificent playing. Specially Nicholas in the Handel sonata for violin basoon and BC. The last piece a basoon concerto by Vivaldi with improvised Fandango effects in the violins was also very innovative. I consider Sergiu Azzolini a master and Nicholas Robinson as one of the most interesting baroque violinists of our days. His playing technique looks very natural. Never since David Oistrakh have I seen such a relaxed player!

I would LOVE it if L'aura Soave recorded all of the Corelli Concerti Grossi. Judging by this performance, it would be the best recording of these pieces ever made.

Corelli set the standard for the entire 18th Century. Handel imitated Corelli's style of composing in many of his own works: they had performed together in Rome, a work by Handel with Corelli leading as 1st violin & Handel at the organ. Even Thomas Jefferson owned an edition of Corelli's violin sonatas as he was amateur musician himself. I like to call Corelli's music "rattione proportione" or "proportione rattione" meaning that his music is perfect in every possible way. Thank you!

What really makes this so beautiful is the way all the players use voicing in such refined and creative ways. They build a magnificent church, with all of the architecture, out of each chord and passage.

I was 9 when I heard Corelli for the first time. Since then, he's been my favorite Baroque composer. This piece is just wonderful, and you hit the best rhythm for it, for a modern ear. IMO.

I am not appreciative of music w/ out words. I get bored. *shrug* But this song WOW I was never bored. I LOVED the whole song, but I loved the first 40 seconds the best. Simply amazing!

The fact that all music is called a song by so many people shows how much pop music has influenced people. Since there is no voice, it is not a song. As you find such music boring, I'm sure my explanation of what a concerto grosso is will bore you as well.

This is an excellent performance of this piece. My school orchestra performed this and I listened to it every morning when I walked in. I love it how they have all of the baroque instruments in the church. Please do not remove this video because it brings me confidence and inspires me.

No es por ofender a los de los comentarios de arriba pero si bien esta pieza es hermosa, no es el Concerto Grosso de Antonio Vivaldi sino que es el Concerto Grosso de Arcangelo Corelli, como bien lo dice el título. Por otra parte, es una espectacular versión de la obra y no deja nada que desear. La música barroca es y siempre sera asombrosa.

Biondi plays this very fast, but L'aura Soave plays this piece with love, affection, and sensitivity. There's something very radiant about the way they play this, and indeed, the way they play everything. Biondi's orchestra lacks these things. It's fine for you to love him, but let's be clear: this group has a sensitivity in the way they play that Europa Galante does not.

I don't know about you guys, but I played this 4 years ago in 5th grade with Chamber Orchestra. I was one of the violin soloists and it sounded pretty good. Wasn't too difficult, not to brag or anything.
