Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura - This build is stupid.

I got the bug to play Arcanum again after not playing for several years. I started to altoholic then the news of Microsoft's potential purchase of Activision dropped so I kept alt'ing away.
I am using the Unofficial Arcanum Patch by Drog Black Tooth 2.0.2
I eventually ended up with this gish build that uses a bunch of hexed items:
Axe of Dark Lightning : turns out it also decreases your character's lightning resistance but it does not seem to effect the resistance from the Escaped Lunatic background (both factors I did not know about going in); it is also as resilient as an arcane weapon.
Hellfire Medallion : the reason my character does not wear torso armor. Dread Armour is likely durable to put up with the explosions, but constantly repairing it would be a pain and running around in a seemingly indestructible white bodice seemed more fun.
Dark Helm : to top off my character's magical aptitude. I could have gone with an arcane helmet if I did not drop two points into pick pocket, but I would like to thank the generous donations of the Merchants Guild (while they slept) for making a smooth playthrough.
Chill Shield : only usable because the +100 fatigue from the final blessing of the Ancient Gods quest is not subject to the shield's 95% fatigue reduction (I did know about this going in).
Enchanted War Boots, Gloves of Dexterity, 2x Arcane Ring
The biggest disadvantage to this build is that anything killed by the hex effects does not seem to give XP so it's really more an ends to work towards than a way to get there; also not follower friendly (Arronax did not return of Arcanum)... or populated area friendly.
The build did not fare well against Stringy Pete and his crew if you were wondering.

Amulet of Helfire + the spell that reflects magic. Amulet is hexed and will constantly summon explosions when you are in combat, but since they are magical - the spell(iirc it's reflection shield or dweomer shield from Meta school) they do not damage the character, but they will damage the armor, so you should run around naked :P. It's a fun tactics for "kill everyone" runs.

@@tesan6805 "isle of dispair", it says the guard at the entrance gives you the necklace as a reward for taking care of the beast
