Melodic Death metal band from Sweden, formed in 1995. "She" is 3rd and current lead vocalist Alissa White-Gluz(ex -The Agonist), from Montreal. Longtime vocalist, German Angela Gossow, stepped away from performing in 2014, and went into management for family reasons. Angela picked Alissa to replace her. 11 albums to date, song comes from the 10th album, and 2nd with Alissa, "Will To Power" in 2017. Most songs are harsh vocal only, but Alissa has a great clean voice too. "Handshake From Hell" from the newest album, 2022's Deceivers, will demonstrate that, and also Alissa's collab on a song called "The Wolf You Feed" by Nita Strauss. To hear Angela, "Nemesis" is a popular recommendation.

You need to do a deep dive into this band. Deceiver, Deceiver and Handshake with Hell are two recommendations. Adding a little more to this... Alissa is from Canada. Fun fact... At the Nightwish Debacle in 2012 in Denver, Alissa and Elize Ryd from Amaranthe filled in for Annette when she couldn't sing. They were touring with Kamelot at the time. Check out the performance of the song Sacrimony. All these bands are entwined.

Surprisingly enough, The Warning and Alissa are fans of each other and did about a 23 minute interview together about 3 years ago. Then they got to meet in person during one of the European festivals. The Warning interview with Alissa White-Gluz Alissa has also appeared with Nightwish and Kamelot as well. I would include links but they often disappear anymore. I didn't hear you mention her but Alissa is from Canada as is Brittney Slayes with the band Unleash the Archers.

Arch Enemy formed in 1995, Alissa, the third vocalist, joined in 2014 (she is the hand picked successor of the 2nd vocalist Angela). Alissa was previously in The Agonist (2004-2014) and has been a guest vocalist for about a dozen bands. And yes she can do both harsh and clean vocals, though she has only done limited clean vocals in Arch Enemy as she didn't want to annoy the fans by changing things as both previous vocalists used only harsh vocals. This is a quite soft AE Songs. Most others will blast your balls away… check it out (The Watcher, House of Mirrors, Deceiver). Their former singer Angela is even more brutal… (Nemesis, Under black flags we March, we will rise,…). Have fun!

Alissa also performed for Nightwish during 2012 when Anette was rushed to Hospital Nightwish was touring with Kamelot Alissa was with them performing but was asked to help until Floor was contacted to help finish there American tour. Kamelot Liar, Liar is anorher great song with Alissa and the live song Sacrimony ( Angel of Afterlife ). With Alissa and Elize Ryd. Gutteral growl and vocal fry Alissa is very talented. On Liar, Liar you even hear some clean vocals from her. She's Canadian.

This song actually very chill in terms of Arch Enemy. If you listen close, you can hear the clean voice of Alissa. If you want some full throttle songs, check out Deceiver, Deceiver , The Watcher or House of Mirrors. For clean voice of Alissa, Reason to Belive and Handshake with Hell is a go with Arch Enemy.

To get an idea of Alissa's *staggering* range, check out "Swan Lake" on the album Lullabies for the Dormant Mind by her former band, The Agonist - track only, no video, but it is worth just a quick ear to get an idea of what she is capable of, if she chooses. I love how there is a group of women in mental who are experimenting with distortion and texture as well as pitch/tone

Hey, do you remember when I told you about that Mark Morton album, Anesthetic, with all the featured guests (Chester Bennington, Mark Lanegan, Myles Kennedy, etc.)? The last track on that album features Randy Blythe and Alissa White-Gluz together. It's called The Truth Is Dead. You should check out that one.

4 me the best one for AE to see Alissa's diversity is "Handshake with Hell". She has one of the best clean voices in Metal. She "used" it at her 1st band The Agony and as a singer with Kamelot. She already performed as a lead together with Elize Ryd 4 Nightwish at the "Denver debacle" where Annett left NW and Floor replaced her. The rest is history. And yes Elize Ryd is a fantastic Metal vocalist, too. If you ask me (haha I know you don't *lol*) > Apocalyptica feat. Elize Ryd "What we are up against". And yes. Apocalyptica has had a lot of fantastic "guest"-vocalist, all worth for "grinding" (Till Lindemann, Nina Hagen, Elize Ryd, Simone Simons, VilleValo etc.). And still *lol* - you are a guitarist?and have never ever heard of Myiako & Midori? It is becomng my running gag bro, you still ignore the best😂

There’s a lot of female singers that can do clean and harsh vocals, often in the same song. Maria from Future Palace, Helle from Ignea, Melissa from Ad Infinitum/Dark side of the Moon, just to name a few.

Handshake with Hell is Awesome. Alissa sings some clean vocal and the are great also. Alissa is a fellow Canadian. There's a video of Alissa talking to the The Warning but its not perfect. Less is more like Dany and Emppu from Nightwish. I commented on an another video about Alissa's clean vocals with Handshake with Hell

Alisa and Tati is almost similar,but ther ar much differences..Tati's voice is heavier..Jinjer is a for my opinion a bit complicated..Arch Enemy..is more melodic..I love them both..And Yes, girls are start taking over the stage😂❤❤❤
