You don't need sudo for every pacman operation, for example --query (-Q) and --files (-F). It's a good idea not to use sudo when sudo is not needed.

Hey Danshi! I'm that game developer. I tried to get into Arch a while ago but the drivers didn't work out with my old hardware. But this time I got a new computer and I installed EndeavourOS! Everything's running smoothly so far and you dropping this video is the cherry on top. It's laughable how much computer problems I've had in the past year. So much so I've hardly made any games or videos. But things are starting to look up. I'm kind of in a rut motivation wise so it was really encouraging to watch this video. It feels pretty nostalgic watching this. I remember when you had 60 subscribers! Crazy. Keep it up my guy. Thanks a ton.

Good work man, thanks sometimes to install binary (precompiled) packages of something just add -bin to end of its name example: heroic-games-launcher -> heroic-games-launcher-bin Regards, if you make a blog for this content, it'd be a good reference

My question; is there anything that yay can do that you cannot also do by git? I started off using yay; but removed yay once I could git. Example: git clone "package name" cd "package name" Makepkg -si (after looking at whats in there mind you)

Format the harddisk or SSD and install Gentoo. It will cost you less time and effort than forcing the Gentoo package management system into Arch Linux. Not saying that you can't. Just not worth it.

Just recently, I on a random day, entered my password and it didn't worked, whatever I did. I asked gpt, and it told me to use other live usb to change the password. And, holy cow, it worked!! In just two commands! But that's depressing, any thief could just carry a live usb and change my password, and he would have access to all of my data. I use ARCH btw 😁😁

Looking for videos on this is impossible, it feels like I need to go to college to find out because all of these videos is listening to complete tech jargon for 10 minutes while they tell you this is the “basics”
