Nah, Manning doesn't need to be in the NFL anytime soon. He doesn't need money and Texas will NIL him as much as any backup ever. He's a redshirt. So even if Ewers returns, Arch would only be a redshirt freshman.

so here you are Arch Manning, and the current STARTER QB announces, "I'm not entering the 2024 NFL DRAFT". What's Manning suppose to do? he could sit on the bench a year behind the other guy, or, transfer to another Team which is vacant of a STARTER. Even still, who is to say, in the NFL that 2025 Draft is going to be better on your choices to land on a team of your expectations. NY Giants is a bad team of sorts, but the Team aside from its QB is not a bad NFL Team. NY Jets is a pretty good team too, but devoid of quality QB, and Rogers isn't going to be around for three years. So the Jets aren't a bad landing spot either. Patriots are OLD and the price of being really good for a long time shows. But the Pats are not a bad team. Just a poor QB. but you know, what I've learned. incoming College BIG NAME QB's most don't live up to the hype. Some do, and we cherish their weekend play. Stroud is a great example of it. But his results are an exception not a standard. Arch Manning, if he wants to develop as a TOP QB, he may have to leave Texas and go elsewhere. Joe Burrow did, and Joe did pretty well. Same will happen to Arch. It's more or less, where do you you really want to go.
