Being as this video is more than five years old at this point, you'll probably never see this, but this is quite well done. You went into a lot of practical detail that could potentially save a newbie a lot of grief in either learning things the hard way or messing things up because no one actually pointed these things out to them. This tutorial is a lot better than "use a trowel to carefully scape away small layers of dirt". Good job.

I am going to try and make a trowel for my sister, this was an excellent starting point for my research as I didn't know how to use a trowel. I can design better for ease of use now. Thank you.

knuckle clearance is the most underrated thing imo, unless you want to constantly have to replace your gloves and end up with bloody knuckles. I learnt the hard way D:
