Such a well engineered craft. Just out of the price range for most folks. But understood given the amount of design and material that went into it. 134 lbs empty is quite amazing for a sail plane with the ability to foot launch also yet retaining all the features and control of a sail plane much heavier. Bravo to the Ruppert team!

@@frre5296 Scheidegg, Wald. Start im (leichten) Lee. (richtig). Der Hang ist aber der Haus-Hang des Herstellers. Der Pilot kennt also die Verhältnisse. Es ging darum, dem Publikum, die Landung im Tal zu zeigen.

Das Ziel war, den wartenden Zuschauern im Landegebiet ein schöne Landung zu zeigen. Der Gegenwind beim Start fehlte ein bisschen.. The goal was to show the waiting spectators in the landing area a beautiful landing. The headwind at the start was a bit lacking...

I don't think that many of your "likers" understood that this was a downwind take off. The catapult technology is an artifact of German glider technology, you know... when Germany was teaching flying to everyone, and the rest of the world was using engines and brute force to get into the air?

Es handelte sich um eine Betriebsbesichtigung beim Archaeopteryx-Hersteller . Nach der Betriebsbesichtigung wurden die Teilnehmer zum Landeplatz geleitet, um Flug und Landung zu geniessen. Der Pilot kennt den Startplatz, dank den vielen Tests in der Entwicklung. Der aktuelle Rückenwind war dank steil abfallende Startstrecke kein Problem, um vom Boden abzuheben. Kurzer Segelflug, dann Landeanflug und Landung.
