It's very interesting to get some mythology Wales, it's not something we hear here in the states much.

I live about 10 miles from Branwen's grave, and like you grew up with that book (although I'm a year older lol) so this vid is deffo *two thumbs up* from me from an interest point, there used to be a brilliant permanent exhibition at Oriel Mon which featured the tale, and had a great dramatized audio version you could listen to. Sadly it was all revamped about 20 years ago and replaced with another, lesser IMO, permanent exhibit. I've got no idea what became of the recording I've never seen (or heard rather) it anywhere else. I'm not sure if you'd get much from YMCC now with the covid thing having it all running on critical services only but it might be worth getting in touch and seeing if anyone knows what happened to it.

Yank here... Over years, I've started the Mabinogion twice in paperback, and lost books, twice! I know bits and pieces, even named a cat Bubach! So here I am again, listening, and planning to purchase an illustrated copy. I wonder why. Perhaps a vivid dreaming of Snowdonia I once had? as we watched the river in a cleft, foaming wildly over stones and under a wooden bridge.

Thanks so much for reading this. I've been doing some geniology research and discovered that Bran the blessed is very likely my 58th great grandfather!
