Hello! I was wondering whether you had any book recommendations for phenomenology and its use within archaeology. Cheers!

A Phenomenology of Landscape: Places, Paths and Monuments by Christopher Tilley is one of the best places to start :)

Hi, what is the opposite of phenomenology and do you have a video on that too? What would non-phenomenology look like?
@AimersJim5 жыл бұрын
Non-phenomenology would be a Cartesian approach that ignores the body and perception and approaches objects and places in a diagrammatic way. For example, only through plan views of buildings, not by moving through them.

just out of curiosity- you mentioned some of phenomenology's implications are taken too far. Can you give an example of this? Cheers!
