This is true! I was talking to someone who grew up in Leicester last week. Their mother took them to the car park to talk about Richard III. I suspect this is a matter of academics taking local stories and claiming a more legitimate narrative following research. No - He was not lost. However now he is... observable, I guess. He expressed a desire to be buried in York. However, York Minster have expressed reticence and given that he has been in Leicester for the better part of a thousand years, folks have decided to bury him there. It's always a delicate decision dealing with human remains.

It is to be hoped that Roman Catholic rites were observed when he is interred. Full Latin Mass etc.

It's heresy to disturb the dead. They should bury him back in the car-park. In his own space of course.
