What a painful situation. If he had complied with the changes in the Church, his conscience would remind him of the day of his judgment; but as he decided to be faithful to the apostolic tradition, the people in the Church kicked him out. I truly hope he is now in Heaven praying for us.

The question I have had for decades- what is just a few bishops had stood with Archbishop Lefebvre and said the obvious? Would the 70s, 80s, and 90s have been so arid? Would the 1988 consecrations have taken place? Would as many people have lost the Faith forever? All it would have taken is a few to have stood up. Such is the history of Christ's Church, alas.
