I think the pocket library notebooks from the previous sub box goes down as my all-time favorite item from A&O so I am SO excited that it seems like it might be an ongoing special offering! I too want a shelf of all tiny notebooks to display. And the color palette feels like it was custom made for me.

I use the end of a pair of tweezers for smaller, fiddly boxes when I don't want to obliterate the packaging 😂 keeps the fingers safe lol. Additionally, I'm loving the way A&O has been leaning with collections recently, I have high hopes for the rest of this collection!

I have a bunch of palette knives at my desk (that I mostly use with my Silhouette getting the cut pieces off the mats) that also work well for opening boxes.

For the products in this video I think I love the pocket library and the collage notebook the most, but I wish the collage notebook could be a bit larger. Very much looking forward to those gel pens. I have a love-hate relationship with gel pens. When they are good they are very good when they're bad they're horrid. One of the notebooks I'm using currently is an A&O one with navy blue pages: dark pages for dark thoughts. And the previous A&O gel pens are some of the most reliable ones I have that show up on the dark pages. These will fit the aesthetic even better.

The box is beautiful, but I have to be honest, I was a little disappointed that it didn't have a traditional A5 notebook. But that detail doesn't take away from the beauty of this set. The pens are incredible and just the fact that we can write on black paper made me appreciate it even more, the washitapes are beautiful and the scrap paper pad is heart-warming

I was so in love with the June subscription box, and thought since I’d never subscribed, that like in the past, if you didn’t order a long time ago, you couldn’t get it. But, I put in for the June box a week or so after it was released and I got one! Apparently A&O are trying to up the amount of stock they can carry, so it’s easier for more people to access. If you like this one, go sign up, I was pleasantly surprised!!!! I adore everything from the June box, and what was inside was worth way more than the asking price, so I felt like I got a great deal, also. Good luck to you, I hope you’re as happy as I am with my June one!

I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of this box. I was a little bummed that the chess one is A6 and kraft because I'd really like that in a full size notebook (A5 or B5) with white paper (I love the spine on that one so much), but I also like the continuation oft he double pocket size journal box like we had last September. I love the theme and color pallet overall. I use papers similar to the ones in the collage paper pack, so I will definitely get use out of those. Now I need to figure out what I'm going to do with my collection of A6 notebooks. I'm excited to see what kind of design we get out of the bigger notebook and what the other accessories might end up being.

I’m here for ALL the spoilers!!! I love gel pens (and fineliners) and those are some nice gel pens…very saturated, no railroading…and they appear to be .07? I was very surprised they worked on black paper!! I loved the last subscription box (my first one) but did cancel for this one (having no idea what it would be) because…planner season, and I’m making a big switch this year, so my budget is going toward that. I’m a little thankful that dark academia is not my style, and while beautifully done…I’m feeling a little less like I’m missing out. The colored paper is really nice…some of them would look great printed on vellum, also! Thanks for showing the spoilers!

@@JashiiCorrin We love savings! But, seriously, for our budget, it’s one or the other, and that’s fine. I’m looking forward to what I’m getting planner-wise as I think it’s about as perfect as a pre-printed planner can be for me, and that’s a must have for my day to day ability to organize things. I have plenty of beautiful notebooks, tons of pens and washi and stickers…and while I’m always happy to have more of all of it, I like buying groceries and paying the mortgage, etc, too. So, I put myself on a pretty strict budget cause Retail Therapy is a thing for me, and hitting the ‘buy button’ is very easy to do. Actually, it makes me enjoy things I get more when I have to wait for it for a few months, and it makes me more conscious of just tossing random things in my cart at Target cause ‘oh, cool, it’s only $10’ cause that adds up!! I actually started opening up a Numbers file on my phone (iPhone’s free Excel) make a sum function down about ten lines and just start putting the price of everything into a column as I go through the store (especially Costco!!!) and then put back something that’s a ‘want’ not a ‘need’ or ‘immediate need’ if I go over budget. It works for me, and winds up being less stressful overall…cause I’m definitely an impulse shopper, and anything to alleviate that is great! I may get the next one if it strikes my fancy (the $75 is an amazing deal, especially if you love all of the items…it really is a lot of very nice stuff that is easily half the price of what you would pay if you bought each individually. I’m glad they’re making a larger number of them now (I was able to get the last one after it was released) and that they’ve grown enough as a small business to be able to fund the larger upfront investment. Good for them!!

I dont tear into packaging like an animal, but i also dont put forth that much effort to keep it neat. I'll save the larger pieces of pretty packaging to cut down into bookmarks, but other than that, i dont care. I do save the actual boxes tho, like what the notebooks came in from the last sub box.

Without spoilers that will get you in trouble... Did the rest of the items excite you like the last 2 September boxes did, or even the June 2022 box? I have 2 more days to decide if I want this before they can't charge my card anymore (the program I have is discontinuing then) and I'm wavering between "Just do it!" and "Save your money because you'll be just as disappointed as with the last box!". I really don't care about the paper, I have all of the Gelly Roll moonlight pens so nothing but that green is new to me, the only tape I'd actually use heavily is the books, and I think the only reason I want the little books (and the pens ;) ) is because I'm also a completionist. My June box had different colours, shoddy screening on the composition book, staining and fraying in my journal cover, and the super thin b5 was a let down. I don't want to go through complaining to them again. If I have to get a refund again, they won't be able to do it since my credit card will no longer be active. 😂🙃

The last September box is still my top favourite box we’ve had. I’d say if the items you’ve seen so far don’t spark major joy, possibly this one isn’t for you 💜 plus, can always pick up individual items in the buy/sell/trade groups as people destash their items

The more I watch it, the more I realize that while I like the darker colours, they're not doing it for me on a decorative front (totally doesn't work in my space, so will stand out like sore thumbs). I just cancelled. I like dark academia but the color scheme/patterns are not for me (actually glad I don’t like it bc I want to cut down on my spending *phew*) Great review though! I love that you show things in detail/swatch the pens etc.
