"The hurt is validation that it mattered" makes me reflect on many hunts I've gone home open handed. Punched tag or not you always learn something along the way.

This has to be probably the best hunt I have seen in a very long time. The story is what pulled me in, not the thought of a big Ram being shot. It’s always about the adventure with people who matter most and the amazing memories that you can create and share. Thank you and I hope I can turn my story into 1/2 of what you did.

One of the best videos I've ever had the privilege to watch and be entertained by! I was lucky enough to draw a Rocky Bighorn Sheep tag last year, and although it was not an archery only tag, I chose to make it such. I scouted for 24 days seeing very few sheep and 0 rams, hunted for 29 days before laying eyes on a small group of rams, and with 2 days left in my season was lucky enough to run an arrow through a 4.5 year old ram. Were there bigger sheep on the mountain, no doubt, was I thrilled and privileged to put my tag on a ram, beyond! These are the some of the most amazing creatures that walk the earth in some of the most amazing places. Watching this brought back a flood of memories from that hunt, that was far and beyond the most difficult thing I've physically done in my entire adult life! The emotions that Jerrod was feeling, are exactly what I remember feeling at the conclusion of my hunt....an appreciation for family and friends, an overwhelming sense of accomplishment, and an understanding that it'll probably never happen again, and I'm ok with just that! Congratulations Jerrod on an amazing experience that will forever be engrained in your memory! Awesome video, and I'm feeling emotional again just watching Jerrod be real!

What an awesome hunt. I commend you for going the archery route. These tags are never guaranteed, I share with you the thoughts of an opportunity now is better than sitting on the sidelines waiting and waiting for your name to never be called. I reckon memories like these are some of most vivid memories a man can make in his time here, and blessed he is to share it with people he loves. The pursuit, the people and the place generate such aa vivid connection to purpose...which is what we seek, spending time in Creation. The tag holder, the team, the scene, the hunt and the edit - Top notch, from top to bottom.

Great story and great video. The landscape in this is just amazing. I spent a lot of time in parts of the Dirty Devil, during my teen years, gathering wild cattle. I drew a once in a lifetime tag here in Oregon for the rocky Mtn Goat, and like you wanted to get one with a bow, but the opportunity didn't present it. But, yes I was successful and a video, but more than that I got to have my Dad along me, and a fellow hunter enjoying the vista view that the Hells Canyons offer. Enjoyed your video. It isn't worth it if you fill the tag and have no one to share the experiences with. I am hoping my Dad will draw a tag, so I can have the pleasure of scouting along side him.. Great hunt.... Enjoy the outdoors...
