Definitely a nice bow for the price, I purchased on for you a little while ago and I really enjoy shooting it. Your right about the hand shock, I use just over 10GPP arrows and feel it a little, after shooting for a while in one session I did find that the ridge on the hand grip did wear a little on the knuckle of my thumb, so I just wear a glove and it's been fine, haven't tried heavier arrows yet may reduce the shock.

These are great bows and probably the best value hybrid on the market. Very popular in the Uk for a reason. Get the brace height right and they’re nice and quiet too. I’ve shot quite a few bows and think you need to spend a least twice as much to get something any better/nicer. This bow very much stands out from the pack at this price point.

Nice looking bow. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, and I'm really pleased with it. Mine is a 45# draw weight and here in Great Britain, it cost £ 112. Great price for a bow that feels comfortable to shoot.

My wife has had one for the last year. And is very happy. Outperforms her previous bow, at half the price.

I purchased this Bow with 50#. I got problems on my finger of the bow hand with the sharp edge on the handle from the hand shock. But all in all, it's a very good bow that throws arrows very fast and accurately. It also tolerates a wide range of spine values.

A nice looking bow. From my understanding under Archery Australia rules, the grip wouldn't be a problem but the length at 62" would only be permissible for juniors & women. Men require at least a 63" bow to fall under the longbow category.

Correct brace and wool string silencers and this bow was way quiet . Great shooter !

Awesome video mate. And gorgeus bow I got ptsd and anxiety so for me archery is meditation and relaxation. Ive in a bow club and loaning gear now. But am out of work so cant afford my own gear i dream of having a good recurve bow and target so i can shoot everyday would help me a lot both with the ptsd/anxiety and getting in better shape.

What is the difference between the Oak Ridge Ash and Beli, besides the price and materials used in construction....Weight, heavier or lighter? Is it faster or slower? Less or more hand shock? Cheers

Hard to find information on the Oak Ridge company. Been assuming its some Chinese holding company set up.
@sierraridgereaper Жыл бұрын
They are made in korea and are branded for whatever company that resells them. They are a decent bow for the price point but again, you get what you pay for.

I noticed on the rules that a longbow just be at least 64" for men to use in competition. Women can use a shorter bow so I guess this one is aimed at women.
@PurpleDracos3 жыл бұрын
I had an issue with that because some were labeled as 64" which is the over all length not AMO which is 62", which is a shame because it is a nice bow to shoot. Also I have one of these marked at 40lb which is pretty close but the one I have marked at 30lb is 34lb which is more than the couple of pounds I would expect on these mass produced bows as they are never spot on.
@Alex1M63 жыл бұрын
@@PurpleDracos Interesting, I've got two different 30lb bows including this and the ash feels heavier to draw but I just assumed it was down to the limb design and sharper string angle what with it being shorter.
@markenetube2 жыл бұрын
Odd, in the UK the length makes no difference. NFAS field archery, a longbow has to be "D" section. It would have to look like a bow "Robin Hood" used a traditional longbow. No fiberglass. This would be an AFB American Flat Bow. I understood hybrid bows to be like an AFB, but with a slight recurve. It string touches the limbs it gets classed as recurve.

Firstly, I don't think they are Chinese, secondly, if they were, so what? Loads of really top end stuff comes from China, thidly, hand shock is inherent in non stabilised bows. I suggest you look at your irrational prejudices and do a bit more research.

After string silencers, brace height tuning and matched arrows this bow has no handshock.

@@Alex1M6 do you rate this bow? I was considering one as my first 'trad'style bow, but the price (being so cheap) tends to put me off. I've been looking for reviews but they are thin on the ground!
@Alex1M63 жыл бұрын
@@TheSteveGullick Look up reviews for "Galaxy Black Ridge 62" Hybrid bow" as that's its North American name with more reviews online. It's a very nice bow to shoot if your draw length doesn't exceed 29 inches (hits a wall around 30 inches). I draw 29 inches and its fine there, if you're coming from a 68 inch bow like I did then you'll notice the finger pinch more with this bow at those draw lengths, but to be honest it shoots very nice and the grip makes it a very forgiving and accurate bow. The included string is a little on the chunky side even for easton 3d nocks and you'll need to twist it quite a lot to reach the recommended 7 inch brace height, needs some good sized string silencers too. The finish is very nice, much nicer than my Ragim wolf where the finish is coming off in places.
