Almost 60 foot shots, bare bow, One inch center ring. The whole of the Yellow Spot is 4 or 5 ish inches wide. Any hit in the Yellow, is Great shooting.

why nowhere distance is indicated. As a new person to archery its an important for my perception to know from which distance they shoot barebow with no sights. I do not think that they shoot Olympic distance of 70 meters so is that a 30 meters these man shoot at?

Normally indoor rounds are 18m, with some 25m rounds existing. In this case for longbow it was 12m. Longbows with typical target draw weights and those wooden arrows need quite a lot of elevation to shoot Olympic rounds and so wouldn't do well

HI, English Longbow Field archer here, Now Maybe I am not seeing things properly or maybe the classification is different in this but, these look like American Flatbows to me. anyone able to clarify? NOTE: this is in no way a dig at this, I am just curious. :)

I know it is kind of confusing to call flat bows or "American longbows" just longbows when the English longbow is the first thing that comes to people's mind from the word longbow. But in competitions the definition of longbow comes from the shape and size of the bow and it's limbs. I believe the minimum length of the bow for adults has to be 62" and it can have a window. The string can only touch the limb from the string groove point and not anywhere else in the limb or it will count as recurve bow. So basically "Longbow" is just a term for certain style of bows.

their many type of longbows. u must be thinking about English longbows. for examples; Japanese longbows (Yumi), Chinese longbows (Chang), Malay longbows (Busur Bulan Sabit), Javanese Longbows (Rajawali/Kiambang) and modern longbows (flatbows) that u see in this video.

People with narcolepsy may feel rested after waking, but then feel very sleepy throughout much of the day. 1:51 ...LOL...SNORE Zzzz .. Actually that technique is called *"The Archers Canted position"* compared to the Common *"Archers Vertical Position"* . Alot of Hunters will know about "the Canted Position" for shooting game, (and the Horizontal shooting position) due to the fact that *Vertical Shooting Position* from a Tree Stand or hunting Blind, isn't always an option. When a hunter is Stalking an animal over terrain and debris, having your Bow in the "Canted position" is more manageable than having it vertical position .. It's a bow hunters way, when stalking and stopping to shoot. Haukur, reminds me a modified version of, Japanese Kyudo style of Shooting.

I consistently shoot an apple from 10 meters with bad tillered survival bow and arrows I made myself... Looking at these I am sure it is some beginner level competition after very short training.

These are "longbow" in name only, they are very modern flatbows. Pretty much any member of an archery club that has 1 year of practice can shoot at least that good. That's a beginner level competition with a big target on a very short distance with light poundage bows. The Olympic level version of this competition has targets that are at 4.5 times the distance they are shooting here.
