At 54 I absolutely love what you’re doing Brad and it is so appreciated !! Growing up and hearing The rest of the story I always loved it and still to this day am enamored with Paul’s voice and approach to the mindset of The rest of the story ! You fill in the rest of whatever the story was and for that I am grateful and appreciative !! Take care

Great story! I had no clue who it could be. All those years thinking his mom had died. How very sad. Cary Grant was indeed a legend. He emitted talent, charm, respect, and gentlemanly style. Thank you for your research and this great story.

Oh my, all the movies I could mention. Operation Petticoat, Gunga Din, Houseboat, Mr. Blanding builds his dream house, Arsenic and old lace. on and on. When Mr. Harvey said Archibald Leach. I knew. There were very, very, few of his movies I didn't like. And every time one of his movies come on, I'll stop and watch. Thank you for this one Brad, you made my day!

I’m glad it made your day. You’re right. There were just too many to list. He’s still one of my favorites. :)

Now you're talking!!! Good lord, my most favorite of childhood actors for all time! This man was so easy to love! His charm and wit completely captivated me in "Father Goose". As I grew older I was able to appreciate his more sophisticated roles like that in "North by Northwest". Heavens, if you had just half a hormone running through your body, Cary certainly swept you away.
@BradDisonАй бұрын
He is still among my favorite actors. “Father Goose” is another great one for sure. He just always seemed real but not at the same time.

Hi Brad! Great biography! I never wanted to miss his movies. Solid entertainment with great stories & intertainments. I adore the ones you mentioned & then immediately thought of Arsenic & Old Lace. Still laugh everytime I see it. Ok, now I am ready for an Archibald....er....Cary marathon! I'll bring the popcorn!😂 🍿🍿🍿

Oh yeah. Arsenic… is one of my favorites too. :)

My personal favorite is "Arsenic And Old Lace". It's a stressful comedy, but if you don't laugh, you don't have a soul! ;)

Oh yeah. My family watches that one every Halloween. It’s one of my favorites too. :)

Hey Brad! Unless I have him mixed up with someone else, my favorite movie of his was "Father Goose" The girl might have been Leslie Caron? How odd it seems to me now, that when that movie was released, I knew mostly nothing about WW2. A lifetime of burying my nose in books has filled in a ton of gaps in my education, and I tear up at the thought of what we, as a society, aren't even teaching our children to this day. You can't bury the past, whether it's nasty or not. But Cary Grant was so fantastic in so many films. My second choice would probably be "North by Northwest". Thanks so much, Brad.

I absolutely love North By Northwest.” I agree about what kids are not taught in school. I guess they only have so much time. :)

Father Goose was one of my favorites too. And yes it was Cary Grant.

Same here. I remember riding with different family members and all going silent when he came on. That was the only time everyone listened. :)

What?! Cary Grant?! I had to go back - I try to guess. No way! Amazing lesson for us all. Great job, Brad!

It's hard to pick a favorite, but here goes: Charade with Audrey Hepburn, Father Goose, and Bringing up Baby. I just finished watching Arsenic and Old Lace again..not a favorite but fun just watching his expressions and seeing some of his acrobatic abilities. I have a Teddy bear named Archie named after him. Thanks for featuruing this.

I still enjoy Arsenic and Old Lace. I watch it during the Halloween season. Come to think of it, I don’t know that there’s a film of his that I don’t like. :)

Thanks to all the people who put spoilers in the comments

I would never read the comments before watching. I like to discuss the episodes in the comments. I do my best to not spoil episodes with titles or descriptions. :)

@BradDison sometimes when loading up my eyes drift down. There's another person who makes titles that spoil. That's why I stick with you.

Brad. I'm trying to work out some hiccups with PayPal. I closed my account with them years ago and in trying to generate a new one, they say I still have one, but I haven't been able to "crack that nut". When I do, you'll be happy. Cheers!
