Lyrics:
Remember when hell had frozen over?
The cold still burns underneath my skin
The water is rising all around me
And there is nothing left I can give
All these tears I've shed
I saw the wildfire spread
You said you cheated death
But heaven was in my head
They say the good die young
No use in saying what is done is done
'Cos its not enough
And when the night gives way
It's like a brand new doomsday
What will be will be
Every river flows into the sea
But it's never enough
And when the night gives way
Its like like a brand new doomsday
No matter what they say
It's like a brand new doomsday
The embers still glow when I’m sober
The gold in the flame burns brighter now
I have to rebuild now it's over
Maybe now I’m lost I can live
Souls don’t break they bend
But I sometimes forget
I have to do this for you
And the only way out is through
Death is an open door
Words the prophets said
Still swimming through my head
Now theres no stars left in the sky
'Cos this well will never run dry
What if I completely forget?
What if I never accept?
'Cos when you fade away
Its like a brand new doomsday
They say the good die young
No use in saying what is done is done
'Cos its not enough
And when the night gives way
It's like a brand new doomsday
What will be will be
Every river flows into the sea
But it's never enough
And when the night gives way
It's like like a brand new doomsday
No matter what they say
Its like a brand new doomsday

I lost my fiancé a month ago. This was the first song I listened to after his passing. Music was so important and freeing to him. There was rarely a time when we weren’t listening to music or had it playing in the background. I couldn’t listen to anything for almost 2 1/2 weeks as everything reminded me of him in some way. I introduced him to Architects shortly after we started dating. I knew if I could get through this song, I’d be able to enjoy music again the way I did when he was alive. It’s a work in progress. I miss him everyday.❤️

I think I just got to the point that it is impossible for me to hate or dislike a song this band releases. I feel so attached to these 5 guys that I don't care what direction they will take in their next album because I know I am going to love it. This band was the first one that taught me that music is not only about that, music, but also about the people that is behind of it. Thank you for existing, Architects. 🖤

This is a perfect example of why music can be so powerful. The original version had me head banging and screaming at the top of my lungs. While this version made me sit back, relax and think about my life. Honestly never thought I'd hear Architects make a piano version of one of their songs but I'm so glad they decided to, they really are incredible musicians. On a side note, totally geeking out that the piano player and I have the same last name lol.

My mother left us 2 months ago. This song has been on repeat ever since. This works both as a therapy and a reminder that she's still with me somewhere or the other. This song also highlights how vulnerable and helpless people are when someone close to them is leaving them in front of their eyes and they can do nothing to make them stay. Thank you, Architects, for this wonderful piece of music.

This released on the one year anniversary of my step fathers death at his own hand. This song helped me when it came out now it’s helping again. It’s wild because I was angry when he died and the original helped be get that aggression and pain out, now a year later this drops and it’s more slow melodic sound mirrors my acceptance in the last year. You can take that quote and also argue that it is correct. Often in times of agony or anger you get choked up and the only thing you can produce is a scream, like in the movies when someone tragically loses a loved one. Sometimes you can't sing. All you can muster up is a scream. It IS just noise, but it conveys a raw emotion that few melodies could ever match.

Last Wednesday morning, my friend Zhy was found dead in his car in front of a dollar store. It was confirmed to be a homicide. Witnesses say there was a shooting there and he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was only 18 years old. I was shocked when I heard the news. It hurt a lot and I couldn't believe it. But I had to move on with my day, since it was only the beginning of it. I listened to music when I did my work. I hit shuffle, and this was the song that played. When Sam sings "They say the good die young," it really hit me. The world had just lost one of the most thoughtful, caring, and trusting people. The world had lost one more good person too soon. He's gone.

The cold still burns underneath my skin The water is rising all around me And there is nothing left I can give All these tears I've shed I saw the wildfire spread You said you cheated death But heaven was in my head They say the good die young No use in saying "what is done is done" 'Cause it's not enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday What will be will be Every river flows into the sea But it's never enough And when the night gives way It's like like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday The embers still glow when I'm sober The gold in the flame burns brighter now I have to rebuild, now it's over Maybe now I'm lost, I can live Souls don't break, they bend But I sometimes forget I have to do this for you And the only way out is through Yeah Death is an open door Words the prophets said Still swimming through my head Now there's no stars left in the sky 'Cause this well will never run dry What if I completely forget? What if I never accept? 'Cause when you fade away It's like a brand new doomsday Yeah They say the good die young No use in saying "what is done is done" 'Cause it's not enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday What will be will be Every river flows into the sea But it's never enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday

I discovered this song the same day I found out my step mom died this past christmas eve. I played it at her funeral and talked about how she always made sure that me and my brothers were happy and having fun. Love these guys they put all their heart and soul in thier music and you can really hear it in this song. RIP Tom

My best friend called and told me he was gonna kill himself, then hung up. I've had this song on repeat since. Thank you, Architects. "They say the good die young, no use in saying what is done is done, cause it's not enough. And when the night gives way, it's like a brand new doomsday"

You have reached hearts further than you ever could imagine. It's a lonely world being stuck in your own head. but yet everyone who has the privilege to listen to your art somehow get closer to each other without knowing it. I feel more like family than a fan. Till the day this world rises as 1 nation I will continue to fight off these parasitic creatures that hold us down and spread the love we all deserve. One day, somehow or someway, I will get to meet you guys. From the deserts of Texas, love you and keep spreading the message.

The slower pace gives me time to actually take the video in. Regardless of how we spend our limited time here , we will all return and become one with what we came from. Haunting. Whoever produced this video did an amazing job. Don't stop doing what you do Architects.
