I lost my fiancé a month ago. This was the first song I listened to after his passing. Music was so important and freeing to him. There was rarely a time when we weren’t listening to music or had it playing in the background. I couldn’t listen to anything for almost 2 1/2 weeks as everything reminded me of him in some way. I introduced him to Architects shortly after we started dating. I knew if I could get through this song, I’d be able to enjoy music again the way I did when he was alive. It’s a work in progress. I miss him everyday.❤️

I think I just got to the point that it is impossible for me to hate or dislike a song this band releases. I feel so attached to these 5 guys that I don't care what direction they will take in their next album because I know I am going to love it. This band was the first one that taught me that music is not only about that, music, but also about the people that is behind of it. Thank you for existing, Architects. 🖤

This is a perfect example of why music can be so powerful. The original version had me head banging and screaming at the top of my lungs. While this version made me sit back, relax and think about my life. Honestly never thought I'd hear Architects make a piano version of one of their songs but I'm so glad they decided to, they really are incredible musicians. On a side note, totally geeking out that the piano player and I have the same last name lol.

Remember when hell had frozen over? The cold still burns underneath my skin The water is rising all around me And there is nothing left I can give All these tears I've shed I saw the wildfire spread You said you cheated death But heaven was in my head They say the good die young No use in saying "what is done is done" 'Cause it's not enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday What will be will be Every river flows into the sea But it's never enough And when the night gives way It's like like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday The embers still glow when I'm sober The gold in the flame burns brighter now I have to rebuild, now it's over Maybe now I'm lost, I can live Souls don't break, they bend But I sometimes forget I have to do this for you And the only way out is through Yeah Death is an open door Words the prophets said Still swimming through my head Now there's no stars left in the sky 'Cause this well will never run dry What if I completely forget? What if I never accept? 'Cause when you fade away It's like a brand new doomsday Yeah They say the good die young No use in saying "what is done is done" 'Cause it's not enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday What will be will be Every river flows into the sea But it's never enough And when the night gives way It's like a brand new doomsday No matter what they say It's like a brand new doomsday

You can take that quote and also argue that it is correct. Often in times of agony or anger you get choked up and the only thing you can produce is a scream, like in the movies when someone tragically loses a loved one. Sometimes you can't sing. All you can muster up is a scream. It IS just noise, but it conveys a raw emotion that few melodies could ever match.
