The BRILLIANT Ms. Janet Mock is obviously an eXCEPTIONAL person who has nothing to prove to the world anymore about our limited vision of "gender definition". the journey of our SOUL is indeed "extremely complex" and each of our new incarnation always challenges us in many ways: Race; Nationality; Social and intellectual condition's; and of course "GENDER". Some memories of ours preceding life (or lives...) are still strongly embedded within us; one of the most important of them is - of course- ours "preceding gender": something which could certainly explain most of our "affinities and sexual orientations", and even more whom "we think we are" in terms of "gender". The Soul goes to many "Male & Female" cycles in order to reach a REAL UNDERSTANDING about whom we truly are as HUMANS. We also exchange ROLES in each incarnation. It takes much more than one new incarnation to EMMOTIONALY SWITCH GENDER.To fully become " a man or a woman" takes many lives in order "to forget" the essence of whom we used to be. Many species of fish "switch gender" during their life, depending upon their environmental condition. Snails and other species are both "MALE & FEMALE". "The SPIRIT" of a person IS in FACT "WHOM THIS PERSON TRULY IS"; NOT THEIR GENDER AT BIRTH. As long as a person has a "BENEVOLENT SPIRIT", we should embrace this particular Spirit and above all it's "VIBRATIONS" (which can be mostly male or female); instead of trying to analyze their VISUAL or ANATOMICAL CONFORMITY in regard to endless societal's demands. "Political correctness" & "thinking in a box" are in fact HIGHLY DETRIMENTAL to our personal EVOLUTION. We don't know WHY WE ARE WHO WE ARE in each new incarnation, but we deeply KNOW "WHOM WE REALY ARE": something which can't be explained with words, but with our AFFINITIES & EMOTIONS. Life can't be defined in a clear picture and even less in "BLACK & WHITE"; but in a multitude of subtle shades of colors; NOT IN SHADES OF GREY. We are all UNIQUE in our SPIRIT; NOT OUR GENDERS! Love Janet. The "interviewer" didn't direct this conversation, to a point where I felt she was really authentic to understanding the cross differences of human narratives. Instead I felt she was resistant and rather dull.

@49:51,52,53 is the realest moment of this entire conversation in that at the root of all the WORK being done none of it with construct change or correct marginalized experiences ( black, Latina, LGBTQ, woman, native American etc) if white folk aren't willing to do the same amount, if not more, WORK. The book doesn't do "that" if unwilling to participate. And the follow up question, hits in the same vain, what is the largest lesson trans community has to teach...blah blah blah... is more about application of this monolithic purview of existence. Unrooted white folk don't realize they are showing the fundamental fallacy of non-human of "others" existence.
