Talking about algorithms, I know algorithms aren't only used for blob type forms and shape generations. We can also use them for the documentation of islamic geometrical patterns, very much similar to the mathematical scripts. But sadly, we always overlook the utilization of computation for our context.

If we look into the history of the mankind and analyse the causes of the rise and fall of civilisations then we will have no alternative but to agree with the renowned philosopher of history Toynbee that; “ Technology takes a civilisation to a certain hight and a time comes when the social values can not further complement the technology at which time the civilisation falls apart and a new social order takes the mankind to the realm of a higher social order. This phenomena is going on since the prehistory … since the birth of human life” Today we are passing through a similar transformation as the contemporary cultural and social values are finding hard to coupe along with modern technology The nature teaches us, and how we as indicated by Toynbee too that the technology will naturally dominate This doesn’t mean the mankind will be at loss. As he said if we draw tangent along the rise and falls , the mankind always showed a perpetual upward growth . Mohtram kamil Khan Sahib’s cry over the loss is natural and agreeable but I don’t fully agree to put its blame on modern technology and use of modern building materials I agree that today we have abundance of senseless memory less and irrelevant buildings that are scattered all over but it’s real cause is not focussed by Mohtram Kamol sahib Architecture had always been serving the same purpose, just that the technology has been changed . When the subject was craftsmanship , architecture was using the same craftsmanship as medium of expression and was indirectly or directly promoting the same , today international building materials and use of technology is available , I wonder why should it not be used and exploited , and why should it be blamed leaving aside the main cause of the degeneration of architecture To me in any case Architecture in its outward expression,has to depend on the use of available technology and material same way as in poetry we need to use appropriate contemporary words in required rhythm. What has not been mentioned by Kamil Sahib which is perhaps the true cause of frustration is the emptiness …. the scarcity of truth , …. the soullessness …. the “ idea”, that is today missing from architecture of contemporary period. I understand that the right and appropriate approach which is perhaps the need of … the soul searching , the need to make effort towards finding identification of appropriateness and relevance of architecture, lack of which is causing loss of the sense of belonging in the architecture that is being produced today Architecture after passing through this transitionary period of confusions has to naturally emerge as the reflection of todays international culture, as the truthful expression of the contemporary technology, the truthful expression of the changed aesthetic desires, social values of the societies while complementing the dynamics of global economies . Role of the use of material and technology is again like language required for a poetic expression in any period . Mere combination of words can not be considered as poetry unless it carries the soul .. the idea … the thought …. the emotion combined in a rhythmic manner Though in any era of confusion it is quite likely that one may loose focus from real deep rooted aspects towards the shallow causes like blaming the technologies and materials Whereas we need to understand the complete dynamics of the architectural transformations It is not unlikely that we get carried away during the confusion period and start blaming the non contributing factors out of frustration during this kind of directionless. In my opinion the of modern materials and technology can not be blamed for degeneration of architecture , it’s in fact the lack of intellectual spirit, the lack of “idea” as the main reason production of hollow , soul less architecture ‎( جسارت ھے 🙏🏻۔ ) My humble request to Kamil sahib whom I consider a great architect of our region , is that we may justifiably cry over the lesser emphasis on soul discovery in todays approach rather crying over the abundance of modern material and technology as cause of this degeneration We should rather help the new generation realise what they are fast loosing and help them realign towards their lost qibla Those who understand the phenomena of how societies get transformed from one period to a new period must train new generation of architects to align themselves with the changing world and to be able to understand and discover the present day dynamics of human society and help discover the inner reality of the of the dynamics of todays culture which is there hidden within the seeds of the changing technology , within the socio religious culture , and within the regional geology -geography etc Use of modern technology and modern building material may be considered a - real blessing and as a very strong and effective tool in addressing the changing desires of human societies , the present phycological , socio cultural desire and in addressing the changing aesthetic desires which are fast getting aligned with global community and we should help them get out from their regional confinements After all Quran says کان اناس امت واحدہ The entire humanity is kind of a single community علامہ کا ایک شعر عرض خدمت ھے “ آئین نو سے ڈرنا، طرز کہن پہ اڑنا منزل یہی کٹھن گے قوموں کی ذندگی میں

what is wrong about that? Taking over by corporate sector! Why not! when there are brands who are building mobile homes now, there are people who are producing technology and material and making architect's lives easier... Customization and technology is simply taking over, I feel. Corporate is whole of another thing.

i feel sorry for you for not getting the essence of architecture and the quality of spatial organization it used to deliver in the past. This wasn't a profession for minting money, architecture was a form of art and a delicate representation of an architect's mind. This was a NOBEL profession which had a lot of respect and hardwork which isnt seen today due to its changing dynamics in a totally chaotic direction.
