Love how Boris was probably like "I can't sing, you mind if I just speak the lyrics?" lmao.

@@tylerdoesstuff6834 I know at least one occasion. Bela and Karloff did a duet of “We’re Horrible, Horrible men” for some radio program in 1938. I think there’s a version on both Daily motion and KZbin. It’s interesting to hear but not very good lol

@@RyansColoradoRailProductions I wouldn’t even have minded à slightly transparent water mark, so that it’s easier to actually see what’s on the screen (and easier to remove) this is just impossible to deal with and it’s a real shame

What a treat to see Mr. Karloff AND Ted Cassidy as Lurch in this video! Not to mention the great dancers in their spooky make-up. Much fun - thanks!

This was released a few years before I was born. It was still a pretty big deal and always played on the radio around Halloween when I was a little girl (early 70's) I'm so happy you brought this to or back to KZbin! I can't wait to show my kids! (28 & 37) They too grew up hearing this on the radio. I can't wait to show my partner! I'm sure he'll be as ticked about it as I am! Thank you so very much for sharing this awesome classic piece of history! Thank you! Have a blessed / wonderful day!

Maybe someday in the future, but for a lot of the wide shots the letters cover up so much that there’s little detail to replace. Like some shots have Karloffs entire head covered by a letter. On the close ups I think there’s enough surrounding detail for it to be possible

I wasn't aware this was taken down. I shared this with the Boris Pickett page on facebook at the time and of course saved a copy for myself and might have actually backed it up to the wayback machine. I wonder if this has anything to do with the recent discovery that quite a few episodes of Shindig actually exist in the archive as 2" tape masters with outtakes etc and god knows what else. I haven't thought about this clip for a while but now watching it back I don't really notice any film artifacts such as scratches etc. It looks as if it might have been recorded off of a screen to upload to the net but besides that I don't know why else it has its less than stellar quality. Its too clean to be just a found 16 kinescope.
@Steven_Andreyechen
@Steven_Andreyechen Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s very clean for sure, I would not be surprised if this was from its original source. The channel it was on seemed to have access to a lot of older tv stuff from video sources too
