Wouldn't "increased lightning damage" be pointless because you're already getting around 3400% increased spell damage? All the different "increased X damage" numbers get added together and not multiplied, right? So you're basically going from 3400% to 3408% percent I'm doing Demon Form Flameblast and focusing on fire pen and ignite scaling instead of fire damage

Yes I would say elemental pen would have more value than spell dmg increases in this build, however we pick up the spell dmg from intelligence / spell damage from mana because it synergies with the build well and is a decent dmg increase. You could ignore these nodes and go for elemental penetration instead

Nice build, dude. It looks very interesting. I feel inspired. Have you considered switching to a smaller tier of life flask that is more aligned with your degen? That way you can keep it going for longer.

I think gargantuan is the best flask as it has the longest hp regen (5 seconds). Increased charges for more uses as well

i switched as soon i got the 2. trial and took the "Mastered Darkness" node so the life regen issue wasnt too big.

Once you unlock demonform, you can buy cheap items with high life regen and you can start to transition to demonform. Then focus on resistances then towards endgame you can start to add archmage

My demon form is better. 6k energyshield running archmage with grimfeast so I've got 12k going into boss fights. 1500 Mana. 160kdps at 250stacks. Overall demonform is not better than an elemental Sorc. Hexblast is probably the best way to play demonform.

There are gloves with spell leech? We aren't doing physical damage.

@cd8788 there are support gems with life leech and life Regen. Cannibalism 4% life on kill and another one gives 12% when culling. There's also life recouping passives on damage taken, of you take all the recouping nodes, u get 83-88% increased damage recoupled as life. I wonder if these features would help. Spell leech on gloves or weapons I'm not sure if they have it. Maybe mana leach, and take mind over mana and convert ES to mana too. So the build is low life, life Regen, life recoup and mana Regen+ leech combination

@@cd8788 there's support gems that gives you life leech and Regen. There's 1 that gives u 1% life regen. Cannibalism 4% life per kill. There's 1 gives 12% life per culling kill. There's one that gives you 6% life leech for that skill. I wonder if you could use some of them on demon form sockets. If not, use it on ur main skill. There's also life recoup in the passive nodes. I can get 83-85% damage taken as life recoup. Mind over mana and convert ES to mana with all these life Regen, life leech, life recoup. I think you may be able to stay in demon form indefinitely as long as you are dealing damage or taking damage

@@cd8788 maybe infernal flames could be useful too. It says you take max life and ES as damage if you flames are full. I wonder life recoup works with damage taken from infernal flames! If it does, then you get unlimited mana and recoup 80% of that damage as life, together with Regen and leech. Maybe it's sustained indefinitely as long as you are fighting

the hell-hound does nothing for this build, the moment you start taking damage from Demon form your hell-hounds life doesnt move at all it doesnt take the damage it claims to be able to take. just stand in your hideout and get max stacks look at your hellhounds life pool. if your res capd the other ascendancy node "altered flesh" is better worth while taking than hell hound.

hell hound doesn't tank self-inflicted damage, the purpose of taking him is mitigating damage from monsters

Nice guide. I'm running the crit version of this, which also lets me benefit from Grinning Immolation and not having an awkward wasted Ascendancy point haha. For Spark supports I'd like to recommend people try Shock Siphon, especially on such a squishy character. When you're zooming it ends up being quite a lot of ES sustain.

Very cool build. Do you think other damage types could work as well? I've been playing Flameblast but I'm only at T7 Maps right now. Does Archmage take up your entire spirit? Grim feast in my experience is absolutely amazing for this build. I'd also be interested in your thoughts about the ascendancy nodes in general. Do you think the Infernal Hound is the best option to go for?

other damage types can probably work with archmage, demon form buffs are indiscriminate and so is archmage's the hound is very nice but its bugged on consoles, the node that changes lightning + cold to fire res and phys to chaos res is also very good

Yes demonform and archmage work for basically any spell. If you can get spirit on your amulet you can run archmage with grim feast. For ascendancy nodes, infernal hound and the resistance to fire resistance nodes are really our only options.

@@Andy_89 they are, which is why if not having that weapon puts you below a minimum requirement for something, trying to do that something ends demon form and reverts back to holding the weapon for example trying to cast a weapon skill like firebolt or trying to use the switch weapon actions also end demon form because demon can't hold weapons

@@WUSA- ahh ok well can confirm i run a slightly modified version of this and im doing t16 ++'s so basically t18 with greed delierium slammed on it so 30% dmg reduction or What ever that is and it just kills everything and have done the level 4 breach boss with 2 player hp which i killed in 18 seconds

value of the second ring (non mings) can nearly cover the hp gain of one ring especially if you look for a breach ring and qual life with max regen. This allows you to gain allot of other value from the ring including mana/lightning damage and also help with res capping as that can be tricky running double mings

Love the concept, but it feels too unconsistent . Having 200 Stacks against a Boss is not gonna happen in most cases. You cant keep that up for too long, and then your build is useless af till you get like 40+ Stacks again.

@ it’s around the left top corner of the screen, normal as all buff was. And after you transform, Demon flame will count as per sec (more regen and less maximum life you have resulting you can stand on demon form longer, stand longer = more stack of demon flame you can get)

looks cool, but there are questions about survivability, mom is necessary here for a tough endgame, but even in normal mapping mana regenerates poorly, while the equipment has very few options due to the requirements for HP regeneration, resistances... anyway it will be interesting to see what you do with it :)
