I've been a Mitch fan for the past 10 years or so, and have recently getting into the Bem material recently, but listing to this particular talk brought a thought to mind... Maybe retrocognition is the reason why keeping a dream journal improves the dreaming experience even though the journal is kept after the dreaming... Great talk again Mitch!!

I wish I would of known you were in Illinois! I would have came to this lol. I love your work and have all of your books. You’re doing a great job! You’ve helped me with the expansion of my consciousness and in my personal journey into the metaphysical universe I have gained the ability to be balanced in both sides of myself. They dance around me while I hold steady. It’s so much hard work but so worth it !! Much love! ❤

So happy to see this video pop up on my KZbin recommendations! It seems ages since your last talk. I am so grateful that we, who understand intuitively and experimentally that we are much more than material objects, have such a brilliant and articulate advocate. Thank you, Mitch.

This is a great talk Mitch! I was a reluctant materialist/logical positivist (Philosophy student) back in the day, but no more, although I still retain healthy skepticism. What has changed my mind is the sort of evidence you cite, logical arguments for Idealism (a la Essentia Foundation: I'm a Kastrupian, I guess) and my accumulated life experience, which includes different numinous encounters (mainly dreams and synchronicities) and a clear episode of precognition. Since it happened to me, I don't need to repeat it to know something is going on that's not explicable in materialist terms. Nor would I want it to repeat, given what the precognition was about. Still, I agree with Essentia's contention that for many of us academic types "the head is the bouncer of the heart," so I think we need to push the scientific arguments along with pursuing more esoteric means of exploration, and this is what you do so wonderfully! :-) What I'm starting to think, however, is that we perhaps need to ignore the archons, perhaps with a cool distain to counter their fevered attacks. We have the evidence now, as you have documented, so we can simply cite it (again) and move on with our own pursuits. P.S. I like the idea of the Irish woods very much. Let's go! I'll bring the hag stone. ;-)

Wild how hard people go when you start poking at the edges of their reality box, always appreciate your talks dude. As I was watching this I legit received an email from Wikipedia asking if I'd like to sign up as a monthly donor - torn between "LOL nope" and a heated diatribe about their suppression. Synchronicity is fun!

p.s. I've tried the Bem approach to preparing (post-paring?) for a couple musical performances and interviews and stuff - was pretty 'qualitative' about it, but the gigs were tight!

Our understanding is constrained by the physical and cognitive limitations of the human brain. Our senses, perception, and cognitive abilities are designed for specific purposes, which means we can only perceive and comprehend a limited range of phenomena. The universe is vast and complex, and many natural phenomena and processes are inherently intricate and difficult to fully grasp.
