Whenever I watch anime, or play games with Japanese voiceovers, I'm always reminded of an old friend who taught herself perfect Japanese, with just a dictionary. Within two years. And I get super salty. Mary, you kick all the ass. Too bad you won't see this though :(

@@aqilhaziq2447 Haha, thanks. Nah, she wasn't a prodigy, just very dedicated. If I rememeber correctly, part of the reason behind it was so she could watch anime without needing subs lol. And while she could speak the actual language perfectly, she only knew a few dozen kanji. But to be fair, even native Japanese (from my understanding) only learn the most major and popular ones. Way too many combinations/possibilities to memorize all of them.
