Dude that F7 (I hade one and I called it the praying mantis as it was green) smoked that 1000 TCat on that last run. Don’t sweat it dude. I beat my uncle all the time with a 1996 ZRT 600 (118mph stock) and he had the 1999 mach Z 800! He was so upset that the next year he sold his mach and bought a 2000 1000 TCat and I could still keep up to him lol! It was a fun couple of winters that’s for sure! We have also switched with him on my sled and me on his and he still wins! I've also raced other f7s and I've never had an f7 beat my zr800! I've also beat zr900s!

he kept taking the most packed down lane and making the other guy do the count down so he was always starting 1 handed and also jumped the start before the guy could even get on the throttle lol.

Short runs the F7 will win almost every time. On a long distance run the thundercat will walk by the F7. Fun watching but no surprise to see the F7 out front.

Horse power and high mph never ever wins a drag race. The F7's and SRX's have a good power to weight advantage still to this day. Just like the 84 Phazer's .

Nice video. Did you notice the F7 get any louder with the y-pipe/pipe? Also what performance gains did you see. I have an 03 and have the D&D y-pipe/pipe as well as their clutch kit and vforce reeds, just not put on yet. My plan was to leave the stock muffler as well but here in the New England area, they are hard on any sleds sounding louder than stock. Also, did you go with D&D for tuning? I don’t want to meltdown with all the added mods and was wondering how reliable their numbers are

A little louder not much. Definitely noticeable power increase. Did nothing with the tuning. I think the computer dumps plenty of fuel stock. If you do not have an EFI F7 I would rejet accordingly. Thanks

Great video. I would say the T Cat will overcome the F7 toward the end of a long pull. But off the line the F7 is quicker.

Did not see that coming. I see you have a few mods on the f7 but I thought a thunder car would leave the f7 pretty good even in a short run. I'm assuming after 80 or 90 the thunder cat is probably a bit faster. I got me a 03 f7 a few weeks ago and love it. Also had a 98 zrt 800 and loved it as well which is the closest thing to a thunder cat I've had.
